Dude you're talking about people who "volunteered" to go into the military...many of them since we invaded Iraq.
How intelligent could they possibly be? The fact is we breed bumper crops of dumbasses who swallow the bs fed to them by the recruiter/used car salesman. We have gutted our education system so that we have plenty of "volunteers" with zero critical thinking skills. The term "critical thinking" has been banned from American public education since the Reagan administration it seems.

The problem is that anyone can order the us style uniform, or a pattern similar to that, and the patches over the internet. There are companies that do not check into who is buying this stuff. All it takes is a credit card and internet access and you can buy most uniform similar to u.s. military uniforms. The vehicles used were black SUV's. Very common vehicles to get your hands on. You can go down to any Ford or Chevy dealership and get the exact same models the military use, and for some extra money you can get the windows tinted just like the military is doing over there. So it is easier than one might think to dress up and fool someone that you are military, when u are not.

I am a soldier serving in iraq, I may not agree with the current administration but know this, there are innocent people being killed everyday here and I know that we are helping the iraqi people, is it worth the lives of thousands of Americans or billions of dollars to rebuild a muslim country...well that is for debate. on to your question.
You have never been to iraq, its nothing like you would ever imagine, the media does no justice to what is going on over here and its very hard to explian, for the most part its boring, and than you will have one day where all hell breaks loose, but what you don't understand is you get used to war, and you get used to the sound of gunfire and mortars going off, the problem is that the security got lax, and also our enemy change thier tatics, and we counter them.
I am sorry none of my americans back home can know what it is like here, I think it will make you appreciate the US so much more, the soldiers here are not blood thirsty mindless zombies, we are flawed humans in the middle of a civil war, I joined because i love my country and think its worth defending, we put our lives on the line because we think this country and what it stands for is worth fighting and dieing for. Am I fighting for freedom and the American way here in iraq. I honestly don't know. my mission here is to get myself and my battle buddies home alive. do not disparage the young men and woman that serve and defend this country, some of the most honorable people i have ever met are military, there IS a difference between supporting the troops and supporting the war.

Check your history. The CIA trained, paid and equipted the higher ups of Al Qaida and the Taliban in Afghanistan. Roughly 1/3 of the South Vietnamese troops were working for the North, gathering US aid. The CIA also put Sadam in power. And "Real American Hero" Ollie North got to be a "HERO" by supplying arms to IRAN so that Americans hostages could be held captive longer, while he traded arms for drugs to be sold on the streets of America. With a history like this, and the current situation in IRAQ you know that a portion of the American trained IRAQIs are loyal to SADAM. The military doesn't like to admit this, which is why they don't confirm situations unless they really have to. Its too embarrassing. People in La La Land like to blame this is "Liberal Democrats" and other mentally deficient types. History tells the story, IF you really look into it.

Shut up, erudite. Your continual double standard is nauseating.
What would your response have been -- light 'em up and let God sort it all out in the end? If that happened, you'd be screaming about how horrible our soldiers were to shoot first and ask questions later. So we let some camouflaged terrorists get close, and they detonate a bomb, and now we're too stupid and trusting.
Make up your flipping mind.

US Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, and Sailors are truly the smartest military in the whole world they make decisions that could kill or maim them or others in seconds and its nearly always the right move. They know how to survive in the wild ect, they are not afraid of anything and theres heaps more. Its a shame that they have to defend people who makes fun of them.

Maybe you should hook up with perry, you're both retards.
You should just keep your mouth shut if you have never been in combat, or even anywhere near it, you know nothing. You watch television and think you are an intelligent person, while we all know you are not, and you just try to be an ***, which you do very well, and start stupid questions like this.

Yet another feeble attempt by the HABITUAL LIAR who calls himself Erudite, to add lies and fabrications to a copyrighted article...
And once again.... I will expose his manipulations....
Let us list the fabricated parts the liar has placed in the article:
"Some inside the vehicles said "We love Mr Bush"."
"It appears the Iraq forces were too trusting."
Trying to skew the content of the article, much like his hero Tokyo Rose, in order to spread his propaganda and lies...
You are quite the pitiful loser, Erudite
And as always... the link to the REAL and UNFABRICATED article is in my sources section

Despite what John Kerry & the rest of the liberal democrats think - our military is intelligent and the most educated . The democrat party has managed to give aid and comfort to the enemy while trying to sink our troop moral ...and your cheap shot is more of the same .
