A friend of mine did this. She had a c-section in October 2004, then proceeded to have a successfull VBAC in Nov. 2005

My friend has other risk factors involved, so it was difficult for her to find a doctor willing to let her try, but she did and to her it was worth every little bit of it.

I think you would benefit from speaking to her directly, she is the director of the International Cesarian Awarness Network of NYC. Even if you are not in NYC you can check out the link I will provide and contact Maria, she can point you in the right direction.

Best fo luck to you, CONGRATS!

There are lots of articles on the subject on the internet, you could read up on them by googling vbac.

Many obstetricians will allow a trial of labour, depending mainly on the reason for your previous section. That is probably the most important factor in deciding whether the next birth will be vaginally or by caesarean.

Talk it over with your obstetricians, and make your decision based on the information you read.

I find some of the articles can be very biased in favour of the donor site's philosophy, so bear that in mind when you do your research.

Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy, I hope all goes well.

Is there any reason why you cannot have a natural birth? C section is an invasive procedure but you will probably have fully healed by that time, anyway.
You certainly didn't waste any time - congratulations.
