I was pulled over for speeding and I have a suspended license. The officer was nice and didn't tow my car or send me to jail. But i did get a misdemeanor for speeding 83 in a 65 and for driving on a suspended license. I was looking up the CA vehicle code 14601 and it said that you could face jail time. When i go to court is it possible for me to go to jail? And if not whats going to happen? I have a clean record and my license is suspended because of a MIP (minor in position of alcohol) had a beer on the beach what can i say

You are not going to jail. There will be a hefty fine, but no jail time. If you continue to drive with a suspeded license, you can be sentenced to jail time. Just bring your check book, because it ain't gonna be cheap.

I agree with Cali...you are also going to have your license suspended for an indefinite length of time(6mos.-1 year) on top of the amount you already had, so they can see how stupid you really are. If you have an endless supply of cash and don't mind going to court, keep driving on that suspended license. California needs the revenue...
