Ok my husband has a real bad snoring problem, and I get so mad cuz he does it right in my ear. I'll ask him to turn over but he always ends up right in my ear so I will pinch his nose or push him over. What else can I do to help me get better sleep and not kill him?

Snoring is actually a partial airway obstruction!! I work in the sleep medicine field. If someone snores loudly or snorts during sleep it is very likely that the have something called SLEEP APNEA. Thats where your airway colapses on itself when you sleep at night. The snoring is the begining of the colapse when the tissue is vibrating over the airway. If snoring is bad definitely have him see his docotr for a sleep study referal. untreated Apnea can cause heart attacks, strokes, fatigue , memory loss, ect. because it cuts off oxygen to your brain periodicly throughout the night.

Some causes: Enlarged Tonsils, Enlarged Uvula, Excessive Tissue in Airway, Large tongue,, Large necks are a good indicator of apnea, where the soft tissue colapses back into your throat while you sleep.

Haha yep I snore because I wake myself up sometimes. Having a deviated septum causes alot of mine. When I am really tired, I snore.

Go to Walgreen's and go to the pharmacist area, they have these tabs that you can put on the bridge of your nose to stop snoring, my mother used them and they help, just ask the pharmacist.

you might have him try some over the counter products.
They help my hubby. Like breath right strips and oral spray.

Or he may need to see a Dr.
