If you mean which area of IT I'd say Networking offers the best wages. I'm looking to study MCSA/MCSE myself and was told that the wages are very good.

Work for Microsoft or Apple or Google or Adobe or HP or
Yahoo or any of the anti-spyware companies. I would say
the makers of computer products would be the best jobs.
I hear Cnet is great to work for. in S.F. You would really
need to learn to spell before they would hire you tho.

I suggest working for UK Gov. - Passport Office and Child Support Agency were the best money spinners but now it's mainly NHS ...
