My friend and I tried dying it purple this weekend, but it's barely different from my normal hair color. I want purple-er hair, but I'd like to avoid paying salon prices and I will not bleach.

If you want vibrant color try exploring the loreal feria power reds collection. The power reds are a wonderful complement to dark hair. If you want hair with a purpleish hue what I reccomend is the Loreal Feria R37 Blowout Burgundy Deep Burgundy Power Red. It is a wonderful burgundy shade that shines through on even the darkest hair. After coloring your hair use a leave in conditioner for extra glossiness and you are good to go. You will look fab and glam.!!!

Suck it up, girl. It's just not gonna happen without lightening that dark hair first. For this, you absolutely need a pro. I have corrected too many at-home bleach jobs to tell you this is something you can do yourself.

Salon prices too steep? Try a local beauty school. They offer discounted services performed by students under the supervision of licensed instructors.

Good luck!

definite. the colour you practice aready has some bleach in it with a view to make your hair porous passable to acquire the sparkling colour. in case you propose bleach it white, no. you do not ought to. A note about henna: interior the shape you employ it and also you don't love the colour effect, that is next to impossbile to fix it. you may't use a common hair colour over it till it is grown out.

Shopper's Drugmart carries a product called Veggi-Dye. At least I think that's the name. My friend has black hair and she uses this stuff and gets great colour. It's all natural so less damage. I think she's a bright teal blue this week. Two weeks ago, she was fushia.

Hope that helps.
