Example, say I applied my VISA with a picture, featuring me with a full crown. Once I reach the US, I crop off ALL my hair, or at least get a buzz cut, resulting me looking different from my VISA pic. Will I have trouble getting out of the country then?

Your question doesn't sound silly but, thankfully, yes, it could cause problems for you. I said "thankfully" not because of you but because I am a believer in tight security. It could also cause you trouble if you had to produce your visa for any reason, not just to leave the country.
Hmmm, why would you want to change your appearance anyway?

they might ask you for another id with your pic and HELLO??? digital prints!!! so dont worry about it! people change!
I had a pony tail when I took my visa picture and my hair style has changed a lot in 6 years and I dont get in trouble. they ask questions, you tell them the truth and the more you cooperate the better for you.

They might look at you twice, but as long as your face is the same, no problem.

If it doesn't look like it is you, yes.
