I met a girl on an online dating site. Her and I hit it off right from the get-go. We started talking for a couple days, when we started talking a bit more intimately. One night, (I've only know her for a few days) she wanted me to take off my shirt on webcam. I refused because I am just not comfortable with that stuff. She completely turned on me, called me a fake, a jerk, and a phony. She was soo cool and nice to me before that. What is her problem? was I the wrong one?

You were not in the wrong at all! People can put up such facades, especially over the internet, and she was just horny and looking for some fun. It was not wrong of you at all to refuse, and she should have respected your decision. If you keep talking to her over the web, just remember that you don't know her at all, especially after she turned on you like that. Keep your dignity and don't let her convince you to do anything you don't want to do. =)

I'd say she is the wrong one. It has only been a few days, I would chalk it off to online dating bad luck. There are some really interesting folks out there. Sometimes you catch a couple of whackos.

She sounds shallow and not very intelligent. She wanted to see you without a shirt on. Period! You didn't show her, she didn't get her way and she got mad! Sounds a bit spoiled to me! Too high maintenance. Get back to the drawing board and try for something better! I think you're very respectable! I like your choice to just say NO! What a great guy!

You just weren't willing to do something as weird as that with a perfect stranger. If it had been your wife who was out of state and you said no then I'd say you we're wrong but in this one you're right.

If she is going to treat you like that over something that made you uncomfortable, she was definitely not in it to find a meaningful relationship. Be very careful with those dating sites. I've not heard very good things about them.

No you weren't wrong. She should have respected that you didn't want to. Maybe she was looking for something other than a relationship/boyfriend.

NO, she sounds freaky. Freaky isn't always bad, but she shouldn't push you. You'll fly your freak flag when you're ready. IN the meantime, keep looking.
