So.... I work Friday-Monday, jacked up schedule, I guess that's what happens when your a Public Servant right? ha! well... not really a servant, but I feel like it sometimes... anyhow! I get tues-thurs off, and well... on my days off, I like to enjoy a little more than a few drinks! normally on my own cuz no one wants to drink because they have to work the next day! it being on the weekday My Days OFF! so when the weekend gets here for everyone else! I get invited to kick it or go to parties or go out, and of coarse... i'm not gonna go and stay dry, so I'll have just a few drinks to casualy socialize w/ the friends and people, Well.... people are starting to tell me I have a "Drinking Problem" because I seem to be drinking a lot, I feel I don't have a Drinking Problem because I drink when I want to, and its never that I have to, Does that Make me an alcoholic?

Don't listen to other people drink up and enjoy responsibly but remember to much of a good thing can be a bad thing so if you start getting mood swings and start vomiting out of no where then it's time to stop drinking for about a month or so but remember as long as your not a staggering alcoholic and I'm sure you know the answer more than anybody have fun relax and enjoy a cold refreshment!

Yes.
Seek professional help. It seems like you are in denial about your habit.
AA is good place to start.

If people you know tell you you have a drinking problem, take it seriously. I am sure they only care about you and want you to be ok.

If you have two drinks a day or less, then the chances are slimmer, but go get some help.

You obviously have a doubt or you wouldn't post this question.

Take care.

well, none knows about your drinking pattern better other than you, if you think you have a drinking problem then ya have, otherwise ya wont catch one just coz others are saying like that. well, would suggest ya to drink only when the next day is off. and drink responsibly, i mean, once you feel you in a state of enjoying, kinda like medium enjoyment stage or the kicks stage in ya brain cells, then stop it, dont go overboard or until drink until head really spin 360 degree, vomit, hang over, etc... dont trouble yourself, also drinking red wine in moderation is good for your heart, recent surveys says that it also reduces the risk of cancer etc... so yeah, drink responsibly ... if beer, not more than 4 cans, or 2 bottles. ok? if wine, not more than 2 glasses. rest just figure it out for yourself, ok? hope it helps!

The problems with alcohol begin when it becomes
addictive. Is there ever an evening when you really want
a drink? but you could let it go and forget about it? If not,
be careful. It sneaks up and kicks you in the back-side.

you shouldn't drink alone.
it's good to drink and relax while socializing, but if you're looking forward to the weekends to get wasted, than you've got the beginnings of a problem.

cut back on drinking alone. if other people are telling you, listen to them. try stayin sober for a week. if you can do it without touching a beer, wine, shot, you're OK.

If you feel in control of yourself and don't cause trouble while drinking who cares. If you are neglecting responsibilities and have a difficult time with being sober cut back or quit if you need to.

Well...try to stop drinking for a week...if you starting craving alcohol and if this urge disrupts your everyday life....then you have a drinking problem. Otherwise, you don't.
