Usually varies depending on the area in which you live as well as the services you need.

My vet charges $40 for just an exam, not including the medications, vaccinations, or any other services that may be needed. I usually walk out with a bill around $80-$100 just for vacciniations/medications/preventative.

Good Luck.

if you are in the US, and you have a Petsmart with a Banfield Veterinary Clinic inside, get one of the Banfield Wellness Plans.

the cheapest one is $12 a month pluse the initial sign up fee but you don't have to pay that fee each year you renew the pacakage (it may be different from state to state) -- and it includes a general check-up, his/her shots, and the vet fee. also, you can go to the vet throughout the year you are a member and they will not charge you their clinic visit fee which is around $50 or $60 each visit!! Anything that is not included in the plan (say you have an emergency during that year) you will get 10% off. There are 4 or 5 levels I think.. the next level is $28 a month and includes a teeth cleaning as well as everything in the $12 a month plans.

oh, you know... these prices are for a cat... I only have a cat... but hopefully the price is similar for your puppy :D

they also have one location in the UK and Mexico but don't know if they have the plan available.

here is there site in case your interested:

Vets charge different fee's. You should just call back the Vets office and ask what they charge including vaccines. Most places have vaccine clinics on weekends which offer discounts on the shots. Hartguard is something like $35 a box last I checked, but the question is have they been tested for heartworm? A test needs to be done to see if they have it before you give them preventative medication. If they are negative for heartworm, then you begin the Heartguard. The tests can add up $$. You can buy Heartguard online, but the blood work needs to be done there first. I worked at a Vets office and we whipped up estimates for clients. Call and ask for one involving all of the above.

Depending on if shots are needed it can be anywhere from $30-200 just all depends on what needs to be done. The dog I just got went to the vet in Oct and it cost almost $400 for a checkup so it all depends on location, the vet and what needs to be done.

There are 2 vets that I go to. One for routine visits that charges 20.-35. for a checkup & yearly shots. The other is in a large clinic that I go to for the "god forbid" serious illnesses. A visit there is at least $125.00

It depends on the vet. some places are around $35.00 just to walk through the door. But it can be cheaper and it can be more expensive too. i had to get a vet check so they could fly and it cost $20.00 at a small town vet. But when I lived closer to a city it cost me alot more.
