Treat the cats first and foremost. Fleas respond well to Advantage or Frontline. My cats get those all the time. A topical solution you apply to their necks. Once you keep them off the animals you will GREATLY reduce your exposure. Fleas must have an animal or human to feed off of in order to survive, from what I understand. Get them off the pets first and as for your legs.... stop picking unless you are open to the idea of being scarred up for another two years. Leave them alone completely and they'll heal really fast unless you're allergic or something.

Maybe it's time to get rid of the cats. Even though you love them it's not worth risking your health. Picking those little flea bites can cause infection. Get rid of the cats and go to the doctors!!

Frontline for the cats, Cutters or Deep Woods Off for your legs and vacuum every day. Launder piles of clothes fleas could lay eggs in, as well. Good luck!

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.
