Hi there...your cat may likely have impacted anal sacs. Frequent bathroom visits with scooting following and constant licking of the of the anus is indicative that your cat feeling discomfort. Anal sacs can become impacted and need to be expressed. Soft stools can contribute to this as firm stools push on the sac glands.

I would take her to the vet for sure.
The two most common issues when they drag thier behind is either 'worms' EVEN if she has never set foot outside she is not immune to them. Hook worm eggs can be tracked in on YOUR shoes they are very sticky..
Tapeworms come from fleas-even if you say she doesnt have fleas...it only takes ONE, and I promise you that any animal has had a flea on them at some point in thier life.
The exact same way that you have 'ocassionally' seen a mosquito or an ant in your home...or any other little bug.
Somehow they just get in...
Your home is not a sterile bubble. The same goes for contracting worm eggs. IT CAN HAPPEN.
OR it could be her 'anal glands' ( I'll let the vet explain that one) LOL!
It could also be a urinary tract infection! If you have ever had one you know how painful it can be! And you DO feel like youve got to use the bathroom every few minutes. It is terribly painful and uncomfortable. I would take her to the vet tomorrow!!!
There are other possibilities of course, and they can all become serious. She obviously has a problem dont let her suffer!
Good luck!

Sounds like shes got a urinary tract or bladder infection. Often times it causes a burning or itching sensation just like in people, and this makes them feel like they have to go all them time. The dragging and licking are also for that reason. She needs to see a doctor so she can be started on some antibiotics, thats the only thing that will make it better. Offer her lots of water, drinking will help flush the bladder. Good luck

Unfortunately, your cat doesn't have to go outside to catch worms are any other disease. You or someone else can bring it on shoes etc. My cat was indoor cat only her whole life and 3-4 times she had problems that "only outdoor cats would have". So they told me.
Just please take your cat to a vet, no vet on Internet will be able to cure your cat over the Internet. And next time don't wait for 5 days if you see something extraordinary is going on with your cat. One day it might be too late. :-/

yes it sounds like worms she can catch something inside like flys or a mouse. If she was outside 6 mos ago she should have been de-wormed first.some worms come from fleas fleas can be anywhere in the house especially basemnts.Check see if it is pee or poop in the litter? Urge to pee & none present can mean urinary infectn. poop can show worms but not always.

Could she be constipated? Maybe she is going in the box and straining and nothing comes out so she goes back and trys again. She could have a BM partially stuck and that is why she is scooting, because she can feel it there. Check the box to see if she actually has a BM or if she is actually urinating. She could have crystals in her urine as well. You might want to consider a visit to the vet.

Well, the anal glands may need to be emptied. There are 2 ways to empty them...External expression is simply pushing gently on the skin over the sacs in an upward motion to empty the contents of the sacs (make sure to have a tissue at the ready and I suggest doing it in a bath tub). Internal expression requires a latex glove and inserting your index finger just inside the anal sphincter to aid in pushing out the contents of the sac.

The frequent urination is very concerning. Sounds like infection, and it can get bad very quickly. Please take her to a vet ASAP.
