Excellent question!
The Christian scriptures admonish them to judge not lest they be judged, yet it also instructs them to discriminate between who needs saving and who doesn't, and to work on changing those who are deemed in need of it.
What a conundrum!

I think what has happened is that Christian's have begun to use words more than actions. Not everyone is meant to witness using words, since they will sounds judgmental and such. Like someone mentioned earlier, Jesus wanted us to basically witness to the "seedier" people of the world. He didn't want us to go up to them and be all "YoYou're a sinner, look at all your bad actions, you are going to burn in hell man". That would be judging. He wanted us to basically go, ya ur a sinner, I'm a sinner, lets hang out and help each other.

Don't worry about the world, just worry about you. Think about how hard it is to change yourself, then think of how you could possibly change anyone else.
I don't understand why everyone is trying to convert everyone else. If Christians are so happy then why spend so much time Judging Sin? On the flip side why do the Atheists or whoever spend so much time in defense, or trying to prove that the Christians are wrong? We come in alone and that is the way we shall go. It's not going to matter what Bob said about you when your gone, what does matter is your response and your actions while you are here. All the good stuff is your treasures in heaven and the rest is let go.
We should just smile as much as possible, give thanks for life, and bless everyone just as Jesus did.
If you change yourself you change your world. Your world is all you need to save.
God Bless, Namaste, Blessed Be, it all is the same thing!

Well, the worst blunder that a Christian could make is to preach a sinner's message to another believer so no harm is done there. The believer will say, "Amen. Thanks for the reminder. I shall examine my heart and walk closer to God and remember to tell others who haven't accepted Jesus as their Savior that they need to be saved." A believer is not offended at the gospel of Jesus Christ but is blessed by this message. (1) The gospel means good news and it is the power to save. People who truly experience soul salvation from their sins can't keep it to themselves! It's just too good. We can't "save the world" but we can point you to the Savior of the world who can if you are willing to repent of your sins and ask Him into your heart today! A Christian who will not warn a sinner of their sins and the consequences of them is not being obedient to the Word. You also are taking these concepts out of proper context. The true gospel is balanced. Not every sinner can be reached with a hell-fire and brimstone message. Not every sinner can be reached with a God is love message. The truth is He is the same God in both messages and it's the same message.
I wouldn't say critical or judgdmental but confident that the Word will not return void and that we are fulfilling God's will to be salt and light in this world. If the Word of God convicts you, the gospel message also sets men and women free if you follow through to the whole message with balance. All of it is in vain unless we have charity. That is our greatest short-coming. The greatest shortcoming of sinners is comprehending their own sins and understanding the depth of God's love for them.

I think Christians should show by example rather then force. If they were Jesus like people, peaceful and loving, than people would want to have whatever they had, or they would at least influence people in a positive way by giving a more positive view of Christianity. There would be less hostility and Christianity might look more inviting.
Are the way they tend to do things now working very well?

The Word of God says that we are to judge not lest we be judged. It is wrong to judge someone and we are still to go out and compel others to come to Christ. I try not to judge. However, I am a 'fruit inspectors'. An apple tree cannot produce oranges and vice versa. Just like people of God do not continuously produce sin. May God Bless U.

We are commissioned by God to preach the good news of God's kingdom and to make disciples of all the nations by conducting a Bible study. It's not for us to judge. Whether people accept the good news or not, we still cannot judge them according to their response. They still can change, those who resisted before may accept it now. God is the only one who can see the heart condition of a person so He's the only one who can judge a person, and not us.

I dont think you know what judging means. I can not sentence you to anything, that would make me judge. I cannot send you to hell... that would make me judge. I can say we all sin, because we all sin. If someone tells you "You're going to Hell" then yes, thats a judgement and they're not to do that. But to say we are all sinners is like saying 'we are all humans" it's true, we all are... but its not casting a sentence on you.

Did Jesus go around saying "You're going to Hell" to every person he met? Did he not befriend drunks, whores, and all the seedier people that Christians today rail against and condemn universally? Why are Christians so unlike their Messiah? My opinion is they are on a power trip, thinking it is up to each one of them to personally "save the world".

they preach that you are to love the sinner & hate the sin. even christians are sinners they are just forgiven. christians know that they have no right to judge. i am a christian but i haven't been to church in 3 years. there is some major judging going on of me in my church family. however, that is one of the reasons that i don't go. there are too many hypocrits in the church today. you don't have to go to church to be a christian and being a christian is what's in your heart. that is between you and God and no one has the right to judge that.
