Saint Thomas is my hero. I would follow him anywhere. His Apologies and literary Arguments kick butt.

No, generally not, some of them did outrageously stupid things like sitting on top of poles for 30 years in the belief they would get closer to God. Some of the Saints never even existed, they were just fabrications.
My opinion is the Title "Saint", with very rare exceptions like St John, should be reserved for people who have been matryred for their faith.

We should all look to the Saints for examples of what it means to be Christ like. Now having said that, some of them were a little weird and might not be the best examples for us in today's society. But look deeper and find the basic truth of what they were doing.

Maybe to worship like they did, but not to worship, the Bible says that there is no other NAME to be given on earth or heaven that we may come to God in the Name of his son Jesus, it is that Name you want to model yourself after, it is by that name that you get Gods Holy spirit and it is that name that gets you saved and by that name the demons Flee! So not the saints but Jesus himself!

Are you referring to John the Baptist, Paul, Peter, etc.? We should be living our lives as close to Biblical teachings as possible. We have the inspired Word of God because men were willing to live totally for God and most of them died for that devotion.

You know, the best one to follow is Jesus Christ because he set a very fine example for us while he was here on earth. He loves his heavenly Father and he loves his neighbors. And those are the two best commandments that we can follow to be a good person and to please God.
