We all have the power over life and death. Since we have the power to kill anytime we want does it stand to reason that anytime we are not killing we are giving life simply by allowing others to live?

No. You would not be playing God. By not killing you would be using your common sense. It is not only a sin, but it is illegal. Everyone has a right to life.

No, you're playing god when you make the choices of who lives and dies and then kill people. By not killing people, you're respecting them. By deciding who lives and dies, you're playing god.
