I remember reading the Egermeier Bible storybook for children and we still have two copies of it in the house. The first verse I ever memorized was Matthew 7:12 - the Golden Rule. Have a happy day.

Genesis 1, creation, I was 8, my Dad had just given me my first real Bible, not the kid kind with pictures, but an actual Bible, I read about the creation of the earth, the animals, Adam and Eve, it was great, still is.

The first time I opened a bible and read was at the age of 24 and it was John 1 and I didn't stop reading until I finished the book of Acts and I got down on my knees and said God, that's what I want.
He has never disappointed me.

I could read at an early age and had gone to churches as a kid, not that I believed in any of it. I want to say that I read a part of Matthew, but I am not really sure.

I have been in church my whole life, so it's hard to say for sure....but I'm thinking probably the story of Jesus birth in Luke. My dad read that to us every Christmas Eve when I was growing up, it is a tradition that my husband continues to do in our family!
