Lay the Pineapple on its side and cut off the top. Then cut off the bottom so that there is a stable base when you stand it upright.
Then stand it up and slice off the skin from top to bottom with a heavy sharp knife. With a small paring knife, cut out the eyes that are still on the meat of the fruit.
Cut the pineapple in quarters and slice off the inner core (the tough part). the fruit can then be sliced crosswise in small slices. If covered and refrigerated, it lasts for about 5 days.If storing whole, don't keep beyond the point where it just gives when pressed. Dark spots will be apparent when it is overipe and cut open, and a definite smell of alcohol will be noticeable.

Delicious fresh pineapple is worth the trouble of preparing it.

To start, remove the leafy crown (to remove the crown, grasp it in your hand and twist off).
Stand the pineapple on the work surface and use a chef's sharp knife to slice downward through the rind; don't cut too deeply or you'll lose a lot of the fruit.
The "eyes" run in a fairly even diagonal pattern around the fruit. Cut long diagonal notches about 1/4 inch deep around the pineapple to remove the eyes.

After cut the fruit and enjoy....

~~~~~ Have fun! ~~~~~ Good luck! _;-)
it depends on if you want to keep the stem for a plant
in that case cut it at 30 degee angle" short"
pull out stem l {put stem into dirt and water
it will grow} slice and peel the rest of pineapple
if not cut the pineapple about 2 inches below stem then core out the rest of stem then slice and peel
the pineapple will last for about a month uncut after that ,when you slice and peel it will last in fridge for a couple of weeks
ha. ha. i do not think it will last that long, as you will consume it one way or another
Cut off the top and bottom. Peel off the rind with a chef knife.
Cut it on half lengthwise, then each of the half length wise so you have 4 long segments. Core out the center 90* angel to get rid of the hard middle, then chop up the long segments into bite size chunks.
