Were there bones in it? (Sorry that's probably a dumb question, I've been a vegetarian all my life so I don't know really!! lol)
If there were cooked bones in it then yes worry. Otherwise dogs stomachs are amazing things and you probably don't have anything to worry about other than perhaps him throwing up and having lose stool. Nothing bad enough to keep him doing it again! lol :-)

You should watch your dog for signs of "drunkeness", dizziness, disorientation, severe lethargy, severe vomiting and diarrhea. Old, rotting garbage produces toxic gases when digested (usually this happens when its more than two days old) that can cause a pretty severe illness when ingested. I dont think your dog is at that much risk for this, but you should be aware just in case. I would not be surprised if he gets an awful case of diarrhea, and maybe a little vomiting. Consider putting him on a bland diet for the next few days (boiled hamburger or boiled chicken and white rice). Make sure to get him to the vet if the vomiting/diarrhea becomes so severe he cant keep anything down, or you think hes at risk for becoming dehydrated. You didn't say what kind of dog he is, but if hes one of the breeds prone to pancreatitis, take him in as soon as he starts vomiting to be safe. Good luck

That's a big dog...my big dogs used to chew on corn cobs (they'd break into the compost bin for those and other disgusting treats) and I'm sure they swallowed some (and other disgusting treats) from time to time. I'm assuming he chewed them into somewhat smaller pieces before he swallowed them? I'd keep a close eye on him for distress symptoms, look to other answers (considering the source of course) and call an emergency vet for advice on what to do if you need to do something - if you can get hold of a vet in your area on a Sunday. Dogs can digest all sorts of disgusting things. My dogs would literally break down the fence to get to my big garden and compost pile. Once all three ate some really gross buried compost of rotting veges that was full of different types of worms (not earth worms). About 3 hours later they all crapped on the beach (and I had to pick it up, it was the beach) and the worms were still in it, still alive. GROoooooSSSSS!

The dog may get constipated from the cheese.. and if there were bones in the turkey it could cause cutting of the intestines.. but for the most part it wouldn't be much to worry about. Most dogs chew up the bones pretty good (my dog used to get into chicken bones all the time and she was fine).

My dog has been known to get into things like that before. I think that your dog will be fine, but he/she might be a little sick tonight. She is probably going to have bowel problems overnight, but should be fine in the morning.

remember this... a dog can sniff out a milligram of cocaine inside a full gas tank buried underneath a car's sheetmetal.
not to mention all the other things a dog's nose can detect. therefore, if the meat is bad, his nose will know it to the subatomic level.
If it's bad, he won't eat it.

one good thing about dogs, if they eat something that's not suited for them, they'll throw it up. your dogs will probably throw up or have some loose stools, so i guess just watch out for that.
