The best thing for you to do is to locate a class 3 dealer in your state and pay him a visit. He can give you all the up to date information on the process, and get you started on your paperwork. Here are the obstacles: 1) you must pass an FBI criminal background check with flying colors. 2) You must notify your local law enforcement CLEO (chief law enforcement officer) of your intent to apply to own a class 3 weapon. A signiture on police dept. letterhead may be required. 3) you pay a 200.00 transfer tax on the sale of the weapon. 4) in a couple of months, you recieve your paperwork, and go pick up your gun.
Another option is to become a law enforcenent officer yourself. for example:
If you are friends with your sheriff, in most states he has the power to make you a deputy, not on the payroll, but legally a law enforcement officer. As a law enforcement officer, the process is streamlined: A letter of approval from the CLEO, Taxation without representation, and purchase.

You must apply at your local sheriffs office. In some states this will not be a problem if you have a clean record. In other states IE California, you be laughed out of the room by a panel of law enforcement officers NO MATTER WHAT! They will be wondering why it is you need to go full auto/rock'n'roll...capiche?

certain, with the right license you may own some thing. as to the position you may have it, and carry it and if its hid or no longer, I even haven't any clue. danger is you've some obstacles as well the gun variety and the keep itself. yet i talked about on the heritage channel the position they stated a 50mm gun become on the civilian marketplace. so i wager certain you may.

Don't waste your time or money, its not worth the headache to have, it is an open invitation for the gov "enter" your private life. Plus not to many places to fire the weapon even if legally owned.

You have to get that through the ATF, and I hear it isn't cheap to do the paper work.
