When there are fossils dating back to 250,000 years ago?

Its not that Christians deny that the earth is older than 6000 years. For all we know even those today that are claiming this or that is over a billion years, doesn't mean the earth was not here that long without form.

6000 years ago God created the heavens and the earth by giving them form. Man was created during this time.

Why is it that those that don't believe in God and His creation, the time frame in which He created it, are trying to discredit God?

What is the purpose of this discredit act?

It is man who is dating these fossils. How do they know they are correct when doing so?

I don't know how old the earth is, but I believe that it is a lot closer to 6000 years than millions or billions of years. What makes you think that fossils are 250,000 years old? For every carbon 14 dating giving very old dates, there are many more systems that give much more recent dates. Why don't evolutionists utilize those dating systems? Obviously, because the scientific evidence doesn't fit with the evolutionary myth.

The earths magnetic field is diminishing, which means that it used to be stronger. If we go back to when some of these fossils were supposed to be living animals, the strength of the magnetic field would have made life impossible. Again, this issue is never raised by evolutionists.

I consider myself a Christian and I believe the earth is millions of years old. maybe some Christians believe the earth is only 6000 years old because of their belief in creation and their objection to evolution. They are in denial.

The earth is hundreds of millions of years old, Now there was a prior earth age that satan was still a good angel, now after he rebelled God destroyed his kingdom and recreated it starting with the garden of Eden and now this earth age or dispensation since the garden is 6000, and when Christ gets back we will start the the 3rd world age, the milliam, but most Christan's have been taught that the earth is 6000years old, but they have not done their homework !

Its what they believe is always the problem -- Not the solution-- What they know is from their book -- When they go to school they graduate in 72 CE-- What they believe is 5000 years old ------------ When they build pyramids they are upside down--- Then they spend all their time balancing these pyramids on THEIR POINTS

Age of the Earth - The Geologic Column
The geologic column is the older of the two dating methods employed by scientists to determine the age of the earth. Basically, this is how it works: earth's many rock layers contain billions of fossils. Certain fossils are unique to certain layers of rock. Some of these fossils have been chosen to be what are called "index fossils". Scientists assume the age of an index fossil by the stage of evolutionary history the fossil is assumed to be in. That age is then transferred to the rock layer in which the index fossil was found. Then, to determine the age of all the other fossils in the same rock layer, we look at the age of the rock layer in which they are contained. Thus, we determine the age of the rock by the fossils it contains, and we determine the age of the fossils by the rock in which they are found. Many consider this circular reasoning.
