Before installation of Office 2003, the blue squares in the loading Windows XP black screen takes 3-4 times to cross the bar. After installation of Office 2003, it now runs more than 20 times accross.

It's loading the LAnguage bar, Auto-update, Hotkeys, etc programs that run alongside of Office. To get a faster startup. Go to Start>Run>type MSCONFIG>Tab to startup>select or deselect any items you don;t need to run your computer, hell try deselecting them all just to see the difference. You can always go back and change it if something happens or you need something to run properly. But turning off some of these items Will greatly decrease startup time...

Looks like you are loading the whole Office package. Takes time. I suggest you review your startup menu and load at startup only that which you use daily. For less-frequently-used programs, you can afford to wait a minute.

If you are also running wallpaper and a screensaver, reset these to blank or none. Makes a difference.

Office2003 has so many programs
access/Binder/Excel/Power point/Outlook/Word
etc.
Para two: Start/All Programs.
Delete the program/s you don't
need often.( Programs remain in C:/Program
Files/Office2003
Also delete the Shortcut Icons in desktop.
MY office97 requires 100Mb in 590 files!
Para three: Other than Firewall/Antivirus
program/IE/OE
keep to the minimum the programs
you want. to open
when you start the computer.
Also run Ccleaner from www.ccleaner .com
to keep your computer free of unwanted files.
