Yes, there is a tiny chain of 4 or 5 stores near where I live...it is called Java J's. One of its locations competes head-to-head with Starbucks and actually does a greater amount of business.

Oh yes, a wonderful little coffee house where they do there own roasting and serve a wonderful cup of Kona coffee. J & S coffee shop in St. Paul, Minnesota. We live a few blocks away and in the morning we can smell the freshly roasted coffee in the air, almost like a calling card to get our morning fix.

I enjoy Small World Coffee. Some of the local bagel places carry their coffee, too. It's a pretty intimate and hip place, in an invy school college town. They post pictures on their walls of people wearing their T-shirts all over the world.

Yes, I don't like Starbucks, even though there are 7 in town. I like a little mom and pop place called ABC Bakery. It's only 3 blocks away.

Yah there is a place in Phoenix called Central Perk. Yes I know the name is right out of friend's. But the frozen coffee drinks are amazing... much better than a Frapicinno.... I don't know about their regular coffee... but their blended drinks are to die for.... great pick me up with a very very pleasant taste :)

Eagle's Nest espresso, Smitters Jitters, Latte on your way, Java Hut, Coastal espresso, organic Grinds, Tallie Ho espresso, Natte Latte. I stay in Washington State. I artwork at a espresso keep. There are a million shops on each and every nook right here! i like it!

in Houston we have DOTS and Cheesecake Factory. And around here, we usually gather at a Denny's for cofee and gossip.

Starbucks is yuck...I avoid it if possible.....all their coffee is made too strong for me...........
