A Christian mechanic probably wouldn’t care as much if your car has an accident and you die because he thinks you’re going to go to heaven anyway. Whereas an Atheist knows there’s no such thing as an afterlife, so he would make sure the brakes won’t fail.

The atheist mechanic might install those new fangled evolution brakes on there.

Ah, but a Christian mechanic knows that even a workaday job is a form of worship and evangelism so will do an extra-conscientious job. Besides, there's no guarantee that the driver will go to heaven if they are involved in a fatal car crash and no Christian would want sending someone to hell on their conscience.

Seriously though, it doesn't matter to me. There are Christians who give preference to other Christian businesses. I do hold businesses that advertise themselves as Christian to a higher standard simply because if they're making their beliefs a selling point then they should do they need to be (or at least OUGHT to be) paragons of ethical business prectices.

But I'd see any knid of mechanic

A christian mechanic will fix your car well because he is afraid of losing customers, moreover, if you always give him a very good tip. Well, just another way of reasoning.

An atheist will fix your car in a very bad way so that a fatal accident may happen and you will die, especially if you always pay less money than what he expects. Hi hi hi ....

Things depend on you ... ha ha ha

I dont know why you seem to think Christians dont value life, this is the 2nd question you asked tonight (that I saw) that implies Christians care less about someone dying than an Atheist does. Christians believe they are held eternally accountable for their wrong doings, and risking someones life is a BIG wrong doing. Cheating someone is a big wrong doing.. you tell me why an atheist would even care as long as he doesnt get caught?

If you believe that you are deluded indeed.
It's against Christian commandments to cause injury or death to ANYONE. A true Christian will do a conscientious job. An atheist will do either a conscientious job because he wants to maintain his good name or a careless job. If an accident should happen it is nothing to him because there is no accountability on his part. After all there is no God to answer to.

I'm an atheist. I think I'd prefer a christian. The christian would have faith and hope that my piece of $hit car will make it through winter. He would hopefully be honest about charging me only after he made an honest attempt to fix my car. While the atheist will give me the brutal truth, tell me I have no hope and overcharge me for trying.

Ha--Though I am of a Christian denomination, I would just want the best and most honest mechanic to fix my car.

I'd prefer to have someone who went to a good mechanics school and knows what the heck he's doing. His religion, like his politics, doesn't enter into the equation.

And did I mention that it'd be really nice if he didn't charge a small fortune to fix my car, too?

no no... a christian mechanic would say, "lets have faith that god will hold the brakes so you wont accidentally squish a pedestrian"

an atheist mechanic would say, "you're not going anywhere with those brakes till i fix them!"

i was just trying to be funny. lol
