I was diagnosed in third grade, along with clinical depression. THAT was fun. So.... who else? I'm curious. Must be the OCD. :)

I have OCD and had symptoms when I was four years old.. However, it didn't manifest it self severely until I was in middle school.
As far as children are concerned - a stat from the mid '90s said 1 in 50 adults but 1 in 100 children. With much more info, research, and knowledge that children have OCD - those stats have most likely been refined.
One thing that complicates figuring out such a number in the first place is the realization that many people have OCD and have not been diagnosed.

Am 22 and was diagnosed at 14. It's a up and downhill battle, I get better and then crash again, my second breakdown was brought on mainly by it. The thing about numbers it's actually a really common type of obsession/compulsion for OCD but the one most people hear about is cleaning, you know the stories of the people who have to take 5 showers a day and so forth but really it can manifest itself in so many different ways.

I have ocd, severe depression and also anxiety attacks. It's very draining to live this way! I haven't heard a lot of people have the same symptoms as me but i will count everything in my head it has to be an even number or an even amount of letters in the word such as "parmesan i have to repeat this over and over again till i go loopy.I hate living like this no fun no fun at all.

Funny you would ask, I just told myself I was getting out of control the other day with my OCD. I have to make sure nothing is plugged in and my door is locked a million times before I can leave my house. It is ridiculous, but I worry my house will burn down or my cats will get lost.

i have it i think.. i count a lot of things, keep touching something to i get "even".. what else is weird is i pick my head.. like i keep scratching it until my scalp keeps very dry, but makes my hair oily. i do that when i'm stressed or concentrating.. i guess ocd is a way of coping with things..
