If you are serious about your question.........the best prayer is always one that is true and straight from your heart. Talk to God just like you were talking to your best friend, because He is (or should be).

My favourite is this.
I said to the man who stood at the gate of the year, give me a light that I may tread safely into the unknown. He replied, go out into the darkness, and put you hand into the hand of God, - that shall be better than a light, and safer than a known way. Its a quotation not a prayer, but I always feel good when I say it.

This is a good one:
Eph 1:15 ¶ Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
Eph 1:16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
Eph 1:17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Eph 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Eph 1:19 And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Eph 1:20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places],
Eph 1:21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
Eph 1:22 And hath put all [things] under his feet, and gave him [to be] the head over all [things] to the church,
Eph 1:23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

The best prayer is not the fast prayer - it means you are still to far in the driver's seat. Jesus told his disciples the best prayer is what we call the Our Father prayer. It puts God's will/kingdom ahead of our desperation.

The best prayer to pray is what Jesus prayed, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven...sometimes people have to hit rock bottom before they will look up and see God. God will be waiting and ready when it happens.

The best prayer will be not to the god, I think. Go and pray the person himself. Pray him to live for others, pray him to prove his existence among the people he lives with, pray him to make his life meaningful and pray him to make the life of others easier by his presence.

Nicene Creed
We believe (I believe) in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, and born of the Father before all ages. (God of God) light of light, true God of true God. Begotten not made, consubstantial to the Father, by whom all things were made. Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven. And was incarnate of the Holy Ghost and of the Virgin Mary and was made man; was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate, suffered and was buried; and the third day rose again according to the Scriptures. And ascended into heaven, sits at the right hand of the Father, and shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead, of whose Kingdom there shall be no end. And (I believe) in the Holy Ghost, the Lord and Giver of life, who proceeds from the Father (and the Son), who together with the Father and the Son is to be adored and glorified, who spoke by the Prophets. And one holy, catholic, and apostolic Church. We confess (I confess) one baptism for the remission of sins. And we look for (I look for) the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen."

The best prayer you can ever pray, is from the heart. Jesus gave us an example on how our prays are to be structured on.
Read Chapter 6 in Matthew, and pray to the Lord. He will answer

The Shema!
http://www.jewfaq.org/prayer/shema.htm
Hear, Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One
Blessed be the Name of His glorious kingdom for ever and ever
And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might
And these words that I command you today shall be in your heart
And you shall teach them diligently to your children, and you shall speak of them
when you sit at home, and when you walk along the way, and when you lie down and when you rise up.
nd you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes
And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
And it shall come to pass if you surely listen to the commandments
that I command you today, to love the Lord your God,
and to serve him with all your heart and all your soul,
That I will give rain to your land, the early and the late rains,
that you may gather in your grain, your wine and your oil.
And I will give grass in your fields for your cattle and you will eat and you will be satisfied
Beware, lest your heart be deceived,
and you turn and serve other gods, and worship them.
And anger of the Lord will blaze against you, and he will close the heavens and there will not be rain,
and the earth will not give you its fullness,
and you will perish quickly from the good land that the Lord gives you.
So you shall put these, my words, on your heart and on your soul;
and you shall bind them for signs on your hands, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes
And you shall teach them to your children, and you shall speak of them
when you sit in your house, and when you walk on the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
In order to prolong your days and the days of your children on the land that the Lord promised
your fathers that he would give them, as long as the days that the heavens are over the earth.
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying...
Speak to the children of Israel and say to them,
they should make themselves tzitzit (fringes) on the corners of their clothing throughout their generations,
and give the tzitzit of each corner a thread of blue.
And they shall be tzitzit for you, and when you look at them you will remember all of the Lord's commandments
and do them and not follow after your heart
and after your eyes, which lead you astray.
n order to remember and do all My commandments, and be holy for your God.
I am the Lord, your God, who lead you from the land of Egypt
to be a god to you. I am the Lord, your God.
