I mean, even with all of the scientific advancements in our world today, we will all die eventually. Just because life is easier and a little bit longer (not even little on the scale of history) doesn't really mean anything, does it? At Church, the teacher of the week stated that he believed that God didn't care about science at all. As of now, I believe that if God created it, then He must have a purpose for it. What do you think...please don't write anything out of anger.

Good point. God used science to make everything work...its like...grr who said that? Something like the universe is like a clock, then who is the clockmaker?
It is obvious science doesn't care about God, because God is something that cannot be proven or disproven with science.

He isn't my preacher, just someone who volunteered to teach my class one Wednesday night. He seemed well educated, but he even used science to prove tough debates, which made no sense to me what-so-ever.

Do you?
If you were created in the image of God
perhaps you could reflect on that
Perhaps God feels what you feel when he's with you.
God only knows (unless you do too)

That teacher is an idiot. Science is the tool people use to study the world and universe in which god put us. In PSALM the bible says to seek knowledge and wisdom and to shy away from ignorance and embrace truth. Well science is the way for us to gain that knowledge and truth. Without science we just have theories and maybes, science gives us the facts, when done the right way. That's why i stopped going to church a long time ago, most of those "preachers" don't know what the hell they are talking about. You can't embrace knowledge and truth without first embracing science, its the only way to the other two.

we could say that science is the answer to what is god and that god is the answer to all questions asked in science.
and your view on death seems very negative. death isnt bad, dying is bad. im assuming your a christian. it is the will of god then that everyone mus eventual die, dont view it as a bad thing. people like living thats why we have science to make it last longer, but that doesnt mean that death is gonna be any worse or better then life

Whatever created our universe (and no, I don't think it was God or Jesus) gave order to chaos. Our universe is an orderly system. It has basic rules and laws that govern it. I'm talking about things like gravity, electro-magnetism, strong and weak nuclear forces, etc. The basic rules that run our system. Whoever or whatever made the universe we currently live in had to use stable variables and numerical values to create everything we see around us. Whoever or whatever created the universe used science to do it. When you get down to the subatomic level, into quantum physics, you can glimpse some of the raw chaos from which our universe formed. To say that whoever or whatever created the universe is dismissive of science is ignorant at best and delusional at worst. To say that the creator didn't work his/her butt off making the universe but simply snapped his/her fingers and made the whole shebang in seven days is very insulting to all the hard work and intricate calculations that went in to creating the dimension in which you live and breathe.

I'm sure he wants science that does good for humanity not science that destroys or manipulates humanity such as ex- ebryonic stem cells, abortion, cloning, ivf, euthenasia.
Here is what the Catechism says -
159 Faith and science: "Though faith is above reason, there can never be any real discrepancy between faith and reason. Since the same God who reveals mysteries and infuses faith has bestowed the light of reason on the human mind, God cannot deny himself, nor can truth ever contradict truth." "Consequently, methodical research in all branches of knowledge, provided it is carried out in a truly scientific manner and does not override moral laws, can never conflict with the faith, because the things of the world and the things of faith derive from the same God. The humble and persevering investigator of the secrets of nature is being led, as it were, by the hand of God in spite of himself, for it is God, the conserver of all things, who made them what they are."

Of course God likes Science. He created it, after all. He is what makes science happen. Now, the way that Im thinking, if He didnt like it, he would pretty much just make it disappear, and there would be no science... so yeah i think he does.

to me God is the scientist of all scientist, and if people don't believe God believed in science then they believed he was a magician, like Merlin, poof and out pops a rabbit...I don't think so God has power over the universe and it's chemicals, its creation was all chemical, everything has a chemical basic so God made us and we are made in his image and anything that has been made or discovered is because he wanted it so.....just because people choose to us it to harm and kill people doesn't mean that's would have been his plan for it....remember the devils got his paws in the lab and he's trying to mess up everything if we let him and most people think in a fairy tail story book mentality and will never get it...til it's to late....

Does he personaly care? Doubt it, he might be proud of some of the amazing things his creations have done though. In todays world people wouldn't know what to do without science. Everything you do is affected by it.

how about you ask god..... we don't know if he cares about science... we have never met him... and you seem to have already answered your own question when you said " As of now, I believe that if god created it, then he must have a purpose for it."

Im sure God created it, it's kinda the mechanism the earth runs on. Men try to figure it out, gives us something to do, more things to learn, more mistakes to make. I think God likes science.
