Good thing if you're stuck for 10 days under a building after an earthquake. Bad thing if you want to be comfortable in a plane.

Having a BMI between 18-25 is fine for your health, and some people would say a BMI of 24.9 looks a little fat. Higher than that brings risk to your health.
If you want arguments on why fat is good, you should check out a book called "Fat is a Feminist Issue" that argues, for women at least, that there's a good reason why people gain weight.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

Well, let's look at it. People don't find fat people attractive, it is putting stress on your heart, and your health is going to be hurt by it. I think that it is a bad thing. I have a regimen that works well. Here it is:
1. eat breakfast at 6:30am
2. drink water all day long
3. aerobic exercise 20 min/day (running, walking, raise ur heart rate) work your way up to 1 hour/day
4. eat lunch at the same time every day and eat lots of fruits and vegetables.
5.Eat a mid afternoon snack of fruit
6. Eat a light dinner
If you follow this regimen you will see results in about 1 month

depends on your interpretation of fat. if too fat That it is getting in the way of their daily activities then That's bad. but if the person is OK with the way they look and they are healthy then its all good. most of the time its about self esteem not appearance. but you still want to be healthy.

Not a good thing... it can lead to major health problems latter on in life! You ideally need to be healthy and fit... and I'm not sure you can do that if you are fat!

If it's a question of loving yourself, ask yourself, "Do I love myself if I allow myself to be unhealthy?"
Being fat is unhealthy. It leads to diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and, eventually heart disease. This is no way to take care of someone you love. However, you must accept yourself and love yourself before you will do something permanent about your weight. The weight is a symptom of a deeper problem. Deal with the deep problem and the weight will take care of itself.

Depends on the person.. Ofcourse its not very healthy for your body. But I always say.. If your happy it doesn't matter what you look like. I know quite a bit of overweight people that are perfectly happy being that way.
