Just tell him about how you really feel, which ever way is comfortable to you (i.e over the phone, email, letter), that you don't have the same feelings for him, and you don't want this to ruin your friendship.

lol Normally it's the girl scaring the guy away with talk of kids and love.
Anyway, away from that stereotype. It sounds like you're just "not that into him". It's nice that you're wanting to be really careful with his feelings.
"I like you, but I'm not ready for that kind of commitment and I value our friendship."
Sounds bad, and I'd hate it if some guy said it to me. However, it's the truth and it'll hurt no matter what. Hardest part and is saying it out loud to them. Just be honest and definitely don't lead him on.

Ther is realy no nice way to say it. Be honest and truthful and your words will come in a pleasent way. The most important thing is to talk to him. Don't leave him hanging, you are better than that because you are truly trying to find a nice way to let him down with out hurting his feelings. Jus speak from your heart and he should understand. Good Luck!

If you really don't like him that way, tell him so. If you want to stay friends, say you like your relationship the way it was, friendship.
He probably won't be able to stay friends with you. You can imagine how hard it would be, to be around someone you love enough to see as mate and co-parent, but not wanting you that way. Painful and awkward.
You will need to move on from this relationship entirely, but gently.

I think you should just straight come out and tell him, that you prefer him as a friend and that you not ready to be having nobody kids and stuff, and if he can't accept that then leave him alone.
Good Luck-

Be straight forward, he may not like you for it, but if he's a friend, he'll get past it. His honesty is impressive, but maybe a tad bit early to be looking at that. The sooner you're honest with him, the better....

You should be straight about it. Tell him you don't want to hurt him but your not interested in him in that way. Just try to imagine how you'd want to hear it if it were someone saying it to you, I think most of us prefer hearing it straight and honest.

Hi,
By you not telling him how you feel you are in a way leading him on, so if he truly likes you as much as he says, even after you tell him how you feel he will respect your wishes and back down. :)

Tell him that you're still learning grammar and spelling, and that all that "heavy stuff" can wait for later. Slow down...

Be honest. You'll only hurt the friendship more if u ignore him.
