here's the deal. The Bible says everyone has sinned in some way or another. So no one is really "good". the only way to go to Heaven is to admit that you are a sinner and then by asking God for his forgiveness. The reason this is possible is because God sent his son Jesus to live a sinless life, and then to die in payment for our sins so we wouldn't have to. So what we have to do is say that we believe that Jesus, who was the Son of God, did this for us, and ask God to forgive us. So basically, if you don't believe in God, then it doesn't matter if not believing is a sin, because if you don't believe, you can't go to Heaven anyways. As for doubt, everyone doubts every once in a while. it's part of being human. as long as you don't deny God completely you're ok. God bless.

Depends on your situation. Or at least, as far as my beliefs go it is.

There is no problem with questioning God, that is how you learn. Questions as to why He created us, how he created us, why we are in this situation presently, etc. All of these questions when answered will help you to understand God better. Assuming you find that He exists (I most certainly believe He does, but I can fully understand why others don't).

Doubting His existence when you have no answers is just good sense. If you don't have the answer to those questions (and a few others), God is nothing more than an imaginary friend (and a justification for some seriously foolish things over the past few centuries). Considering what those who claim to be His followers have done in His name over those years (I'm referring to all of them; whether they be Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, etc.), I would find it hard to believe in a caring individual with complete and awesome power who cares about us.

I found the answer as to how we got into our present situation (on a worldwide scale and on a personal level), and why we remain in it now from the Bible. Others have found their answers in the Qu'ran, or the Talmud, or the Amida Buddha, or in politics or who knows what else.

If God exists, He created you with reason and logic (and with feeling), use them. Find the answers you seek and make sure they make sense. Once you have found the truth however, once you have seen God's Word and understand it (and don't be afraid to ask for help in both finding and understanding the Word, but make sure it is logical), you have no reason to no longer believe in God. You can still ask questions to understand better or correct mistakes in your thinking, but if you find something that shows you God exists and is working for you then you have no right to deny the One who created you. If you find that there is One who is God, then He is the One who gave you life and purpose and you owe Him your gratitude, your life, and your praise and worship. Give Him what He is due, to do so otherwise would then be a sin.

Learn all that you can first, however. You want to make sure that when you give the praise, you understand who it is you give it to and why/how He wants it.

It depends on if you really understand who God is. If you do than doubt is definitely not a sin just something you need to work on. Not believing on the other hand is a sin if you understand "really" who he is. If you don't understand who he is I suggest reading your bible, getting involved in a church any that teach about God and try praying and asking him to help you with your doubts. I know it is hard but you will progress. God Bless.

The sin the Holy Spirit convicts the world of is rejecting the LORD Jesus Christ & Gods Saving Grace through faith in Christ.

Even as a Christian myself, if I doubt God Is, then I get in trouble from God. Without faith it is impossible to please God, for those who come to God must believe God Is and is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him.

Also it is either a sin one knows is a sin or a sin one doesn't know is a sin. We either doubt knowing its a sin or doubt not knowing its a sin. A knowing sin and doing it anyway is a worse sin than doubting and not knowing its a sin.

Every religion has its own "guides" - I'm guessing if you doubt or don't believe in something - it certainly can't be a sin to YOU.

Personally in my religion - either would be regarded as a sin.

Man you guys are brutal. If you say it is a sin - the athiest come out in droves.
If you say it isn't a sin the bible belters get you.
At this point I'm pretty much convinced that you can't win here. God Bless all of you - unless that's offensive LOL

Well...sin, in essence, is death...and death in this context means the total denial or back-turning action towards God.
So if you are doubting and denied the existance of God, then in essence you have turned your back on Him, and thus you have sinned.

Unless offcourse your doubts are pure-heartedly based on admitance of ignorance, and you are genuinely seeking answers...in the instant of the man that went to Jesus as said "Lord I believe, help my unbeliefe"...meaning in other words "Lord, I believe in you, and I want to believe even more, open my eyes to understand the things I cannot and give me the grace to learn more and get closer to you because I want to."

It just depends on what you mean by 'doubt'...and believe it or not, there are answers out there, we just need to seek them.

I too believe you are a good guy...but as I explained what sin is in its purest essence, that would be the answer to your question.

God bless you my friend, and may He guide you to your truth that is within you.

Sin is an old archery term that means to miss the target. So not believing in GOD is most definitely sin. I don't think you can miss the mark any more then that.

God's Word warns Christians in Jude 3-4, "To earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints, because there are certain ungodly men who have crept into Christianity and having turned the grace of God into lasciviousness and are denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. " Lasciviousness means that men (ministers) have come into the Christian faith and believe they are above God's law and have permission from their false christ they worship and his Christian, false teaching, that they can break God's commandments, teach it is not important in salvation, continue to sin, and still be accepted in God's sight! They refer to this deceptive teaching as 'grace without works" and believe this is the teaching of Christ's Word, but this teaching is a lie that will lead them and their followers to death!

Never deny God! it will seperate you from God by fire for all eternity! Read the bible, and Accept him with all your heart, and repent from your sin! God Bless you!

Yes, it is blashphamy. Being good won't get you there. I know it wouldn't get me there. But blashphamy is the only sin that won't be forgiven. I mean on judgement day. You still have time to on earth to ask for forgiveness. If being Good got you to heaven, there would have been no reason for Christ to die.
