My ex-boyfriend dumped me a year ago, yet last week he called me and asked me to go see a movie with him. I went with him, he picked me up & after the movie he just took me home.On the drive home, when I asked him why he wanted to see me, he said that he wants to see me 'every once in awhile'. By the way, we never had sex during our relationship cuz he knew that I wanna save myself for marriage. In fact, it never went past kissing. He wnet to Asia for a month but before he went I told him to tell me how his trip goes & he said sure, then he told me to keep in touch. I went on msn & saw that he's back now, I waited for him to say hi but he didn't so I said hi. Should I ask him to have coffee with me one time at the camous that we both go to ( as friends)? Will he be happy if I ask him this since he started this "friend" thing now?

For me, that would be great. Since he was once a part of your past. Just make sure don't be falling for him again. Find out the reason why, he want's to see you once in a while. Don't trust people so easily. Sometimes the people you have trusted once could be the ruin of your life. Just know it. Join into coffee with him. But relax and be yourself. GOOD LUCK!!!

I'm not going to tell you what to do, but here's how I see it:

It doesn't matter what happened in the past, really, because what's important is how you both are feeling in the present. Now, it MAY or MAY NOT be true that he wants to be "just friends" with you. But the important thing is, how do YOU feel about HIM? Do you want to be friends with him, or do you want to rekindle your old relationship?

If you do want to be friends, then make sure you have COMPLETELY 100% moved on before you go hang out with him. Otherwise, it'll be too awkward and it will counteract against the whole purpose of trying to be friends with him.

If you want to go back to the past, first ask yourself WHY you both broke up in the first place. Sometimes, it's better to move on rather than return to the past.

So make your decision and then talk to him about it. I hope it works out for you whatever happens!

Go ahead and ask him! I'm sure he'll be anxious to catch up with you. Since the two of you have a past together, it shouldn't be as awkward as you're thinking it is. What's the worst he can say...NO? I doubt he's gonna do that. Remember, he's the one that had asked you to a movie.

This seems to happen every week to you, or am I just imagining that you have asked the same question five times a night for the past two weeks.

ya why not, this is a good thing especially if you never gave it up to him. it shows that he is definatly interested in you as a person, rather than just sexually. so im my opinion having people like that around is a must, but dont push it when you guys do get together. he might really wanna be just friends, and i dont know if thats what you want or not, but if you push to be more than just friends you might scare him away, so good luck and have fun.
