In the wrong hands a pillow can be a deadly weapon. People are evil and they use everything for evil. I used to be till God intervened in my life. I'm sorry. Dogs have minds of their own but when you show a creature nothing but pain and misery you have a garbage in garbage out kind of thing. It's so sad that someone would take a creature so filled with love and fill them with so much hate... :'(
Edit: 15 Year Old Smart Person...Don't blame vets for the price of getting dogs fixed. I've offered many times to pay to have certain local dogs fixed but been refused. I don't care about the money, I'd be happy to pay it if I could save dogs lives.

Yes, absolutely. A dog with teeth, claws, and muscle could definitely become a deadly weapon---especially if it were trained to attack.
Of course anything in the "wrong hands" can be a deadly weapon.
Heck, a can of creamed corn can be a deadly weapon .

Cesar Millan says there are no bad breeds just bad people. People who do not know how to make their large dogs calm submissive, they allow them to become dominate and dominance leads to aggression and then yes a dog can be a deadly weapon.

absolutely...pit bulls, rottweilers, etc. have a predisposed "mean streak" but with the right owner, they can be loving pets just like anything else. I am an animal lover and especially a dog lover. I disagree with city policies that say pit bulls are unadoptable and especially when they euthanize them. Pet owners should responsibly choose a breed of dog that fits well with their families needs AND wants. Choosing a dog that is not very tolerant of pestering children, although it may be unintentional, is not acting responsibly. There are breeds out there that are very good with children, such as Golden Retrievers or Old English Sheepdogs because they are so docile and tolerant. So...dogs can be deadly when they are not in the right environment. There will be dogs that occassionally revert back to traits that are natural to them. So when a pit bull eats a baby, the parents should be euthanized for placing their child in an unsafe situation...not the dog for acting the way they are made to act. Dogs that they consider a high risk of being violent should only be adopted to people who are willing to accept that responsibility. If the city feels like they have a responsibility to protect people then maybe they need to just very very rigid about who gets approved for these types of dogs.

dogs don't have hands, they have teeth and are able to do some damage if they get pissed off or told to "attack".
people who have martial art training or boxing or whatever training also have deadly hands.
so sure dogs in the wrong hands could kill something from a rat to some livestock

Oh very much so. No breed restrictions on this one. If you beat or harm any breed if dog it will become very agressive. Ie.. dog fights. i have a rottweiler. i love him to death, i have a five and a 19 month old, and he is absoulutely wonderful with them. So if someone tells you breed doesn't matter, thats bull. It's the owners disposistion, if they want an aggressive dog they will make their pet agressive.

Oh, yes. Of course there are bad owners, but there are also bad dogs. Well, none are bad, they just go ballistic without food, if they're stray. There were some kids who got mauled by dogs, and one 5 year old boy died from the injuries. Actually, in my opinion, it's the veterinarian's fault. It costs too much money to get a dog spayed or neutered. I say it'd be easier if they lowered the price and gave sessions anytime, because lots of strays make litters of more strays, which creates this stray dog problem. Worst of all, they're hungry, and they need food to live, so they try to maul people.

I do think that dogs can be dangerous, but it is not their fault. Careless owners teach their dogs to attack and be vicious. I think the owner should be put down instead of the dog and the dog should get the chance to be rehabilitated. :o)

a labrador fed vindaloo curry is a weapon of mass destruction. a single labrador can produce enough toxic gas to knock out a small town. i believe the russians experimented with labradors fed on borscht to knock out tanks during WW2, but the hedged their bets by attaching anti-tank mines to them as well.

Yes, that is why there is BSL (Breed Specific Legistation) Dog in the wrong hands is why many breeds are banned, in the process of being banned, and why some breeds have the reputation they do.
