The bible answers that question for you. Please read Genesis 1:26, 28; 2:8, 15. As offspring of Adam and Eve, we are here to populate the earth, to care for and cultivate it, and to exercise a loving stewardship over its plants and animals. We are equipped by God to do this by being made in his likeness—not in any physical appearance but in being endowed with certain attributes of his, such as love, wisdom, power, justice, and a desire to do purposeful work and feel achievement.
Another question that people ask is Where are we going? From the beginning it was God's purpose for the human family to dwell on earth forever in a paradise. Psalm 37:29.
As we all know, Adam and Eve disobeyed God and they were turned out of the paradise. However, God's purpose for the earth still remains. How will that be realised is another topic.

The purpose of life is to be children of God and righteous in spirit.
The meaning of life is choice; the freedom to chose to prosper or live in poverty, to accomplish things or be idle; to seek righteousness or fall into self-righteousness. Life is whatever you make it to be.
I believe there is an afterlife, and although we could technically be immediately put there without having experienced this life on earth, we would then have no reason why we are in eternal paradise or eternal emptiness. By being on earth, we will know clearly what we have done and that the judgment we receive was justice.

I try to tell people, but they just don't seem to want the answer. Oh well, here it goes again.
The reason why we are here is because we were supposed to be here. There is something wrong with the way we are. That wrong is capable of making us want to go our own way. It makes the truth difficult for us to except.
That wrong that is in us is countered by God, his choosing of certain of us goes beyond the call he has for all, and gives us new ideas that cause us to listen to a different voice. The voice is never heard, but it convinces some of us to listen anyway. It is a spiritual voice, and now I am sounding like a paranoid schizophrenic! lol
Psalm 19 tells us of this phenomenon, and it's there for anyone to see. When Jesus said that his sheep know his voice, he wasn't kidding. It causes us to behave in a way that exalts him. And that's why we are here. We are here to exalt him, to praise him, and then eventually return to him, as he has promised us a life that is different to this one. One that does not include the mortality that we experience here.
We are meant to have a relationship with him. That's why he made us in the first place. To walk and talk with him. You see that in Adam, and you see that in Enoch, and anyone who was really close to God in the Bible spent time with God. That makes me jealous, and I think that jealousy of their closeness is probably a good way to be. Although a part of me doesn't like feeling that loss.
That's the way it is, I hope that this makes sense to you.

We are here because our mother gave birth to us. The meaning of 'life' is 'not death'. It is easy to terminate a 'life' but it is just impossible to bring that life back. We can make another 'life' but that life we make is not the same life we waste. So, appreciate the 'life' we have.

You are a child of God and you are here because God wanted a family! And he has given you a soul that will live forever! But you need to know his Will for your life and you find this in the Bible in the name of Jesus! Go read John and see what Jesus is talking about, it is the HOLY SPIRIT AND HOW YOU CAN GET IT. The purpose is to get that spirit and live for him!

Human beings are created to know God. He instilled in us a thirst that will not be satisfied until we reach out to Him for companionship and love. Paul wrote in Philippians 3:8 (NAS), "More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ."
We were created to have an intimate, loving relationship with the Lord? and to bring Him glory. Paying respect with our gifts and good works is a natural extension of that design. But our primary responsibility is to spend time with Him.

We chose to come here and live like a man.
For the sake of the planet which has nostalgic value with us and is in trouble, we came here to mend it and at this stage of the game we knew we would
or die forever
with it.
Love you mother earth :)

The meaning of life is to find that point in time in our lives where God knocks at the heart of our door. I believe we all have a divine appointment with God (besides when we die) where He admonishes us to believe in Him and accept His salvation. Because of sin, people choose to run away from God. They're too caught up in their own lusts (whatever that may be). As humans created in God's image, and through the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ, it is our God given birthright to choose Him. The meaning of life, therefore, is to reconcile with our God. Once we do this, we can follow the first commandment.
Luke 10:27
27And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.
