i do no longer think of cloning is evil or depraved or something. It happens in nature for all time, with twins, and a few animals may even clone themselves, if there is no male around. some species are asexual... If those species are no longer immoral, than neither are we. I do although no longer believe there is any choose or use for human cloning at this component. and that i think of it could be unethical to the guy being cloned, because of the fact they could be avoided by ability of society, and exceedingly religious human beings, and there is often the risk they may well be dealt with like some thing of secondary value. this is a slippery slope in an uninformed society.

No one has ever cloned a human; but if they did, would it be the same soul as the original person? Same personality, same laugh? Geez, let's hope we never find out. What if you cloned the body of someone very pleasant and the copy turned out to have a very nasty disposition?
Oh sorry, I just noticed this was addressed to the atheists.

Your clone would be just as human as you are. Think of having an identical twin on purpose.

I asked that this morning, most of the answers I got had something to do with twins.
Atheists are the wrong people to ask anyways, they don't believe that anyone has a soul.

there is no soul
watching too much scifi arent we? clones would be born like normal children, if there is such thing as a soul, then they would have one too... and so will the billions of livestock killed each year.

I guess that depends on how you define "soul".
As something we are born with that represents our "true self"? No.
As something that you can grow and cultivate throughout your life so that it almost seems to take on an entity unto itself...yes, some few people have that.

Very good question for the meathead atheists. They believe that there is no life after death, so no purpose to live if you only live for 100 years and thats it. Funny to note if you look at atheist, they are a religion as well, telling people to believe in noGod.
