No. The Bible has left out many things for one reason or another. You can still seek out other truths and chances are they will not conflict with your faith. I would say I used Christianity as a stepping stone.

There is a lot more to the bible than the Bible. The OT has a collection of "extra" books which the rabbis in 100 a.d. chose not to include - Song of Solomon squeaked in. The NT has 2 collections of extras - The Apocrypha and the Pseudopigripha. All are considered to be valuable for building one's faith, but not sufficiently worthy in themselves to make the Bible.
Historically - and 600 years of effort matter in our 60 second world, the church defined our faith in 3 major creeds - Apostles, Nicene, and Athanasius. They are meant to summarize the essential points for a believer.
Your witness in this question is a matter of faith and is very valid, as is, I trust my answer. Your prayers - your love of others all these are valid in matters of faith. God continues to speak to us so that we might truly trust and walk with Jesus day by day.

Everything is invalid in matters of faith: faith is the belief in something either without evidence, or in the face of contrary evidence. Which is not logical. Since the defining characteristic of H. sapiens is the ability to use logic, faith is the deliberate rejection of the essence of one's humanity. And what could be worse than that?

No defiantly not. And anyone who believes that, has not studied the history of the Bible. I suggest they do some real in depth study of the Bibles history. You may end up wanting to look to other books to gain a clearer perspective. Jesus is real, His message is real. But the Bible is not the only or the clearest source of his teachings.

Anyone who takes the bible word for word is a moron and don't trust them. The bible is a tool to teach people about ourselves and put laws into effect that when you look at the reasoning make sense. Its a look at the human condition, peace, war, love, hate, everything that is real. But if you take it word for word then you are stupid and thats the last thing god wants.

No. God gave you common sense along with his word to deal with the world. If everything had to be spelled out explicitly the Bible would infinitely long and more of a instruction manual than a guide to how to deal with the many situations of life.

The Bible is the foundation, the Holy Spirit is the walls. If you venture outside what the Spirit says, you will find yourself in another household.
