Please do not give your dog any medications unless it is prescribed by veterinary personnel. Human medications can kill animals when used improperly (this includes aspirin). If your dog looks sick to you, you should see a vet. Most will be understanding and will help you with the bills as much as possible. If your daughter were sick, would you just hope that she got better, or would you take her to the doctor?
Also, feeling the dog's nose is not likely to help you determine whether it is sick or not. I work in an animal ICU and I can assure you that we do not use that as a diagnostic device.
I'm not trying to be mean, but I think that you need to educate yourself on what your dog needs, both behaviorally and medically. This is not the place to do it. Look on veterinarypartner.com or call a local shelter or vet.
Good luck.

well...I've had dogs pretty much all my life so far, and I've had a maltepoo before too. They don't get sick that easily, and really, if you worry too much about the pup, they will get sick! so just don't worry about them let them be natural. Dogs get sick from other dogs or not having their vaccine (the 3 shots when they were pups..hope you've done that.) Since you only have had this dog for 3 weeks, it is better to get to know him first. How he behaves, is he quiet at nature or is he suppose to be hyperactive. When a dog is sick, it will be abnormal (look sad...very quiet, seem to just want to sleep even if you play with it) and also, a dog's nose IS a good indicator. When dogs are sick their nose will dry up! That means they have a fever (not quite sure about the hot or coldness tho...). Dogs which just woken up have dry noses, don't worry about that, but other than that they should have a wet nose. Next time your pup looks ill, bring out a treat (cookie) and see how he acts. If he is to motionless...then you should worry! But just make sure all the vaccines are up to date and there shouldn't be much to worry about. And don't bring him out too often since he is still young.

I gotta tell you checking your pups nose is not a good indictor of his health.
They only to be positive that your puppy is not sick, is to take him to the vet. You need to take a fresh sample of his poopie, preferably from that morning. Also, take all of his paper work you received when you purchased/rescued him with you. Many Vet offices and city shelters have low cost clinics, look around your town or call a couple of vets.
Please stop feeding your puppy table food; it is very unhealthy and dangerous from him. Your puppy needs to be on puppy food, which designed especially for puppies. If you don’t give him any table food he will eventually go our to his bowl and eat his food.
If you puppy keeps wetting the same place, maybe it’s because you are not take him out to relive himself enough, puppies have very small bladders and can’t hold it for too long.
Finally, you puppy needs to understand that you are the boss, the alpha male. DO NOT HIT, SWAT OR YELL at your puppy. He will stop listening to you all together or become aggressive towards you.
Here is a good site for you read, in regards to caring for your puppy.

maybe your puppy is just homesick...how old was he when he was taken from his mom, and siblings....and for peeing in the bed...crate train...crate train...please read about this it is not cruel, puppies love to be in a confined space....he can smell his urine in the bed so he will continue to relieve himself there...always take your puppy out after waking..playing, eating....I have a multipoo , and i took him outside about 20 times a day and said go potty....stop feeding your food, your puppy WILL get sick if he doesn't eat the food that's made for him.....start by adding some finely chopped chicken in it or liver...and offering his food....slowly decrease the amount till he eats his food, this may take awhile...but since he's so small he needs to eat. make sure he is drinking his water also. why would you get a dog if you couldn't afford a vet...he needs his shots...take him asap,,,,,call around and find out what a check up costs, his 1st appt shouldn't be too much. he may have tapeworm, this may make him not want to eat , check his stool for worms....he needs a pill from the vet for this, even if he hasn't been out anywhere he may have contracted them from his mother. puppies need lots of toys to play with, 30 is good...they need to chew chew chew.

Take 'em to the vet if you think the pup is looking sick, if you haven't taken 'em, for it's shot yet , take 'em and ask for a check up, just to make sure it's OK.
