I have the opportunity to emigrate to a country other than the one I was born in.
I'm not sure that it's what I want right now, but am worried that if I don't do it now, I might miss my chance.
So, my question is this... with all the coming and going of immigration policies (and health, terrorism & over-population threats), are international borders likely to close over time, or open up over time...?

Don't ask complicated questions to arrogant idiots. Most of the world seems to be more tolerant of distinct ethnic groups. At the same time, fear is brewing throughout the Westernized world. If I was to bet on the future I would go with borders closing, but a part of me understands that the Anglosphere is not creating the talent or even the bodies requiered to continue the advancement of its societies.

The question would be better answered in the politics section.

You asked a very broad question without saying where you are from or where you have an opportunity to go. Honestly? If you are this vague while thinking this deeply maybe you should just stay put and mull it over for another decade or so.

Depends on where it is you want to emigrate to. If youre thinking about going to some 3rd world country, maybe you should have your head examined first.

do some research on the country. if the good out weights the bad. and it looks to be more promising then the country you live in then you might want to consider going. good luck in what ever you decide. just go legally.

If you are Muslim ... you are "Persona Non-Grata" in the USA but not to worry, just go to Canada, they'll accept you even without a Passport and issue you all manner of ID and welfare even with your four wives wearing their famous Muslim one size fits all Jet Black Burkas and if a Muslim male, bring your 4 wives and 9 kids along too .

First learn how to spell it, then I'd say yeah, immigration will be more and more difficult, as crazy people continue to blow up stuff with people in it, buildings, buses, cafes, etc. Good luck with that....
