WHO is against having morals? Are you sure they don't just disagree with you about what is and is not moral? Please give specific examples.
One can have morals WITHOUT a belief in any god. One can have a belief in God, yet behave immorally.
Atheists don't want anything to do with God for the same reasons that Christians don't want anything to do with Zeus or Odin or Krishna. God/gods/goddesses are not necessary for atheists - it's really not a big deal.

First off, having morals has nothing to do with belief in a God (yours or any other). Moral values come from society; as society changes so do the morals. Sometimes it's a good thing, other times not so good. Personally I believe modern day morals are in many respects better then what was commonly accepted 50 years ago. Nowadays (most) people consider tolerance and equality a virtue.
Many people simply do not believe any God exists because they see no proof. That's why. There's nothing wrong with that and you should respect their opinion even if you personally do not concur.

Sin flies in the face of morals and people seek there sin over living a sinnless life. The reason you see a decay in this hour is because God is allowing people to have there sin fullblown and then the judgement. Have you noticed the ice storms and the snow storms and the sleat and the wildfires the great destruction of new orleans and the coste of New mexico. All the great flooding and the great mudslides and the increased destruction on the earth. It is called the begining sorrows. This earth is being prepared for even greater judgements. When governments begain sinning against God they will answer for that sin unless the repent. In the face of all the sins of America and the sin it leaders are promoting as normal conduct, why would God spare this nation. He is not mocked.
This nation forced the gaza strip to be turned over to terriorist. The very next day after the gaze strips residence were dragged of the roof tops in gaze, New Oreans was destoryed and you saw the people of new orleans standing on roof tops. America needs to get a clue.

Morals and religion are not as connected as some people like to think. It's true that the religions teach morals and ethics but it's equally true that on average the religious don't practice morality any more than non-believers.
Also, this is not a "these days" phenomenon. It's the way things have always been.

We have morals in our "heads" the bible is just a guideline anyway.
(Well, I don't think I have to say anything more, my atheist fellows eloquently answered your question)
"people do horrible things, to others and themselves without caring, they're against having morals (values ex. self respect) they think doing harm is acceptable."
Ok, that's what we called humans.

Having a belief in god is simply one of many morals that a person can have. The two topics (morals, god) are not synonymous. You can have morals without a belief in god, and you can believe in god (or a god) and not have morals. Morals and values are also subjective to the culture in which they are practiced.

why? because this is what the word of the lord teaches us...
numbers 31:17-18 "Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves."
Isaiah 13:16-18 "Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished. ehold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and [as for] gold, they shall not delight in it. [Their] bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.
Exodus 35:2 "Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death."
Exodus 21:7-8 "And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservants do.If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.
NOW IF YOU CALL THESE MORALS, SHAME ON YOU.

We have morals. We just don't blindly follow rules which are thousands of years old and have nothing to do with morals.
And from reading the bible, it's obvious your god (you're a christian, I'm sure) is anything *but* moral.
Give example of what you consider immoral behavior; then we'll talk.

You don't have to believe in god in order to have morals. My idea of moral is doing what I want as long as I don't hurt someone else in the process. I don't need a god to tell me that hurting other people is bad.

Because they don't realize what they are doing. I think morals are extremely important but of course that is just coming from a brainwashed christian as they will say. They run from God because they are afraid. They will deny it.
