I have oily skin that is easily irritated. I was using Proactive until it started to irritate my skin. The last time I used it, more bumps appeared. Right now I have broken out on my forehead and I can see the dirt peeling. How can I wash it off without causing more bumps and irritation?

same thing i THOUGHT was happening to me.

i wet my face which happens to be pretty clear and nice and then i start scrubbing and i feel this bump in between my eyebrows...how the hell did it form in 30 seconds?

it didnt. i learned that those bumps were aways there, but they were roughened and unnoticed under dead skin cells. once you wahed your face they became noticeable and you could feel them,

your probably thing "dang...i wish my face always has dead skin cells then"

no you dont. the skin cells would alway eventually fall off an leave a pimple in its place. by washing your face and exposing it, your cleaning the pores around it and it will clear up in no more than a month id say,

keep scrubbing honey, but maybe poractiv isnt gentle enough for you. either keep with it, or switch to a mild scrub like Neutrogena, since you have "baby like" skin.

also, dont wash your face more than twice a day. thats drying it out.

good luck and hope you the best...my acne isnt gonna clear up until god knows when!

hmm. try using a face cleaner that isn't a type of scrub aka a foaming cleanser for sensetive skin. when you break out i think that its the proactiv working but remember, pimples are there before you see them. its simply accelerating the process by pulling all the toxins to the surface, so it seems like your breaking out, but its really just getting rid of everything at once and then in about 4 weeks you should notice it cleared up heaps. but i'd suggest not to clean your face too much because it can irritate the skin...dont scrub too hard and try a cleanser for sensetive skin :)
