Is the bird weaned? If you are bonding with the bird, and you are appropriately handling him, I think you're good. I guess my question to you is how much is too much and what are you doing during the time you're handling him?
I don't know everything I could know about baby bird health. Most of my birds and the birds I work with are adults with behavior issues. But...what kind of bird are we talking about? 2 months old is really young for some species, while not very for others. I guess a lot of things depend on what kind, and what you're doing while handling the bird.

Hi there. If the bird is handled frequently wash your hands well before and after. The bird needs 10-12 hours of rest at night and frequent feedings. Try not to stress the bird and have a tweet year.

A bird needs to be placed back in it's cage every 15-20 minutes to eat and drink. Keeping a bird out for long periods of time can result in starvation, unless you are feeding it while it is with you, and feeding it very frequently.

Yes, because they are exposed to fluctuating temperatures. They need constant warmth. Remember what is a cool breeze for you may be COLD for the birdie.
