why not just lock them in a room and make them become citizens? instead of wasting all this money by deporting them so they can just come back and then we can use the money to build a better border solution?

The laws to just be legalized are very difficult. The majority would prefer to be citizens, it however takes years to gain residency alone.

There is no need to "lock them in a room", because many would become citizens happily. My parents are naturalized citizens, and are proud of being so. What there is a need for, is immigration reform.

I am not saying that every illegal alien should be legalized, but there are certainly many who deserve to be part of this country. Especially those who have made their lives here, and are law abiding, other than being "illegal aliens".

God bless you.

#1-No matter how convaluted the system is we do have an immigrateion policy that is determined in part the needs of our country-the relief of differant peoples around the world/social-political-humanitarian need ...
When you have influxes of people that unbalance that formula you leave less room for those who really need To\o come here for relief and escape fear of death/starvation and other 'ills'.
We do let Europeans imigrat along with Canadians and Australians-everyone wants to come here.
The Mexican problem has more to do with heath and other regulatory problems than the fact that they want to become citizens.....all they want is jobs.
I'm 60 and for the last 50 of those years I was embarrassed at how we treated our neighbor to the south-we are extremely lucky that they have remained Friendly and not been swayed by the Castro's and others who could have made the border a very deadly place.
If there were a way to let anyone come to work and COLLECT TAXES the issue would be moot about alien workers but there's to much PC'ism to allow that to happen

They don't want to become citizens. They want to take part of the United States and make a better Mexico.
The fatal flaw in their logic is that without the United States it's just Mexico. The same third would trash heap all over again. Then what? Take some more?
You can't force morals on a people. They will always be Mexican because they choose to be nothing more than Mexican.

Why dont we lock up all the people that stand on street corners with signs that say I'll work for food, and bring in all the fast food companys and have a great big job fair and get these moochers off our highways and biways and put them to work.

Why don't I just lock you in a room. You like that. When you say something I will just ignore you because obviously you have no brain!
