What do you mean you can't get to the doc at this hour? Did you fly to some remote place that doesn't have an urgent care or ER? Since you sound like the pain is bad try taking some ibuprofen or naproxen and if that doesn't help then go to a doc and get it checked.

I know this sounds crazy but the person with the hydrogen peroxide idea was good. Sometimes the build up of wax gets pushed back by the pressure in the plane and the peroxide can get in there and break it up.
Lie on your side with affected ear up. Put in some peroxide. Its going to sound like rice krispies but bear with it for about 5 minutes. Turn over and let the ear drain out.
Seriously if that doesn work then try drinking something. Beer...whatever I prefer a shot or 2 of some kind of whiskey.
Why do I say this as opposed to going to the DR at 10pm (time here) is because your going to get charged a high price for an ER visit where no one is going to be able to do anything for you.
If its an infection they will write a script for anitbiotic that you wont be able to fill until the AM.
If its a ruptured eardrum even the most skilled ENT (ear nose throat) will tell you "too bad" as there is nothing that can be done aside from let it heal on its own. Any pain meds they give you will cost big bucks and will be the equilivalent of taking a couple of shots of your favorite wiskey anyway.
Edited to add a warning about the allergy meds. Be careful with this. I did that one time and the eardrum actually ruptured. My ENT told me the medication actually made things worse and the sinus fluid will actually drain into the ear canal which adds more pressure.

Keep up with the Tylenol at the recommended dosage. Use a warm compress (hot water bag, cloth rice bag heated in the microwave, or towel soaked in hot water sealed in a ziploc bag) on for fifteen minutes, off for fifteen minutes, and reheated each cycle. Do not use any oil or medicine in your ear because you may have torn your eardrum and the liquid can cause infection. Hopefully this will help you until you can get to the docs. If the pain gets worse, go to the ER. Good luck to you...Blessings

It seems that you have a middle ear infection based on the story you gave. Even if you say you cannot see a doctor at this hour, this is a medical emergency. Untreated, your tympanic membrane could break and cause further damage (if the pain subsides, and you have some hearing loss and you notice fluid oozing out of your ear, the membrane is already broken; but don't let this absence of pain lull you into a false sense of security...you still need to see a doctor!). An ear specialist will usually prescribe decongestants, analgesics and an antibiotic. If needed, he will perform a myringotomy (creating a tiny hole in your ear membrane) to lessen the pressure building up in your middle ear.

try putting hydrogen peroxide in your ear. If that doesn't work, go to a store get some beer, if you are a big guy then you will need more beer. Drink several beers really fast and when you wake up the doctor will be open and you can call him.
