If you were watching your infant son sleep, and you suddenly had a vision - or revelation - of the future, of him starting a nuclear war and being responsible for the end of the world? And when you came out of the vision, you little son opened his eyes and smiled at you?

I often wondered what the parents of some really horrible person - say, Hitler, or Jeffery Dahmer - would have done if they could have seen the future. What are your thoughts?

By the way, I've never had a vision like this. Just speculating...

Wow, interesting thought. If you saw the future, you probably couldn't stop it because you saw it and it was the future. Unless you saw what could happen if you didn't see the future. Do you get it?

It's hard to work on hypotheticals...simply because you do not know if it's real or not...

all you can do, is bring your children up as good as you could possibly can, guide them on the right path to God, and let God the rest...for no matter what anyone says or does, not even parents can love their children more than God ever will.
secondly, we gotta keep in mind that no matter how well a child is brought up, at the end of the day, they too have a free will...they can either excercise it for good, or for evil.

But to answer your hypothetical (eventhough it is HIGHLY Unlikely)...such a vision would not deter my love for my child, and I would still work my hardest to bring up that child in the way that pleases God, and above all, Pray till I am blue in the face for God not allow something that would harm this child or any human being through him.

I hope this helps...God bless.

The future is never clear. You've seen the Terminator. Take precautions to prevent that from happening. And remember everything happens for a reason. If you're having the vision, it should mean you can change the direction of fate.

if you knew from the vision that your son was going to die and there was nothing you could do to save him, would you kill him yourself? I know this is the other spectrum of your question. But there is nothing that we should do but to teach the child to make the right decisions and hope for the best. There is a purpose for the existence of everyone. only God knows what is going to happen. let Him handle it.

Interesting but hard to say.
It's your baby, your not going
to do anything to him.
You would say "It can't happen to him"
and go on living your life as if you didn't
know a thing. Praying right up to the
time the bomb went off that it couldn't
possibly happen. D E N I A L

you are looking at your son through the eyes of a caring parent, these people didn't have a parent who looked at them or even loved them. this could have been the problem. I just can't believe that these people had parents that showed them how to love or to be human. our parents have more influence than one likes to think.

I'm sure LOTS of parents have those visions. Like Andrea Yates, the woman who drowned her 4 kids.

Luckily many are helped with mental health intervention.

this is an impossible question. your screwed either way you answer. that is why people don't see visions like this. one could say, "i'd kill the baby" you would kil your own son? "I'd let him live" you would allow millions to die? for an answer, i would let the baby grow. obviously God wanted this child to do what he is supposed to do. if it means murdering millions of people, let it be done.

Seek psychiatric help immediately before I go nuts and drown him in the name of Jesus like that mother who was on the news recently.
