Our first president, George Washington, raised Dalmatians. So did Benjamin Franklin, who was also a fireman. When Dalmatians came to America, thanks, in part, to Ben Franklin, fire engines were horse drawn. Which dog would be the mascot as friend and courageous rescuer of animals and small children? Naturally, it was the Dalmatian. And what a handsome addition to the shiny red fire engine he was! When motorized vehicles were introduced and fire engines were no longer horse driven, Dalmatians remained the favorite mascots and friends of the firehouse

No it was true Dalmatians did used to be used.
It was because they could smell smoke a mile away better than any other dog and before the fire spread as much it could be put out. That's why they had patrol fire trucks going past bushland and through suburbs alot with dalmations to check for fires but they stopped it because too many dalmations got killed in the bushland fires trying to find the fire and alot of the time there were false alarms as the dog would think a fire in the fireplace was a dangerous fire so they were quickly wiped out.
But people still wrote about them in stories, etc but not many knew if it was true or just a false story.
Hope this answered your question!

is this a trick question?? Like the way you say 2 dalmation canines, the place canines skill male- then for sure 2 canines won't be in a position to mate to reproduce yet on a life like word, if a dalmation male acquaintances with a dalmation woman, then for sure ther domestic canines will all be purebred dalmations

Dalmations were really used as "firedogs. I have heard, many Dalmatians are born deaf, and so were more comfortable in a firehouse and on fire engines, as to not have sensitive dog ears hurt by constant sirens.

Dalmations started out as carriage dogs- they ran alongside carriages, or in front of them to clear the way, and typically lived with the carriage horses in the stables. When fire houses started, dalmations were used to clear the way for the fire carriage to move through the streets. When trucks replaced carriages, dalmations were kept on as a mascot. However, they never served any function in actually putting out fires, hauling water, rescuing people, etc.
