Drinking "pure" water dilutes some types of salt in the body, but does not "remove" it.

If it's not replaced with any processed foods soon after- yes. Salt is an essential element in the body.

Hi,
Yes water does dilute the sodium. If you have normal levels in your body drinking lots of water shouldn't harm you.

If your sodium levels are very low, drinking water can harm you. It happened to my father when he was in hospital. He didn't understand how important it was, not to drink water until his levels came up.

He suffered a brain seizure as a result.
