because people muddle up the word of God and do not follow our Lord teachings but try to determine what he meant by them so that it applies to their own lives

Because people are proud, I think. The Bible was first given to the Christian (Catholic) Church, Who preserved it, and is the only true Authority on interpreting it.

Nevertheless, unfortunately you have people who decide to pick and choose, and - heck! - why not even throw out a couple of books of the Bible that you can't seem to get to coincide with your way of thinking, no matter how you interpret it?1 Hence, the beginnings of the Protestant religions. And guess what? Did it stay there? No! Why would it? With the mentality that anyone can interpret the Bible however they want, of course there will be as many religions as there are today. In fact, without submitting to authority, why would there be any reason to believe that there wouldn't be exactly as many religions in the world today as there are people?

And so, although there still remains the one, true Holy Bible, there are many abridged "versions" on the market (the King James Version I think was one of the first of these, and is a big one). But the KJV of the Bible has so many errors in it!!! Beware! God's truth doesn't change.

There is only one holy bible because a MAN got together with other men and decided which stories to put in and which ones to leave out. The bible is just a collection of stories about one protaganist, Jesus....

The fact that there are so many branches of Christianity proves the fallibility of the bible. If it were the perfect word of God there would be no misunderstanding of it's meaning, but because it was written by men centuries ago, it is flawed. And the hundreds of offshoot religions are a result of that imperfect writing....

God would write a book that would bring the world together, not devide it as the bible has....

Because the Bible is vague and Christians determine what they believe based on whatever is most comfortable for them. I'm sure there are countless things left out of the Bible over the centuries based on how certain translators felt at the time.

Religion is by far the greatest disaster in the history of human evolution.

because its a worldview changing book and we are not around the time it was written so it is hard to understand some concepts. For example, try reading anything in old english :/. Mention the word tulip around a group of 50 people. many will immediately think of a flower, but a few might think of it as the calvanist doctrine of ideas.

It's not rare. Iv'e seen large congregations agree on the same thing. If you go to a good church you should find the same.

The reason people see different things is becuase of their state of mentality, and that is created from their experiences.

Not all of them are right, and not all of them are wrong

There are many different versions of the Bible. Some information may be in one version whereas another version is totally lacking that.

And everyone interprets it differently.

I'm not a Christian, but I see the bible as a book of lessons. If you took it all literally... Most of it would be scientifically impossible and is historically inaccurate, BUT, a lot of the lessons are lost if you take it too literally.

i do no longer understand what you mean concerning the bible changing. there have been new translations of the bible interior the previous few years, however the old variations nonetheless stay and are standard as precise. The Quran could be diverse in that way i think.

Jude 1:3
Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

The Lord promised us his word shall never fade.
