Psalms 82 says "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High."

To which Jesus commented in John 10;34 "Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;"

In that verse God meant the gods that the people were worshipping, not that there were other gods. God said I AM THAT I AM in Exodus 3:14. There are no other like Him.

pagans worship a variety of gods. all these "aspects" as they are called are but a personality of the supreme Androgeny. it is the idea that god (energy) has many dfferent faces and personalities.

That's why they call it polytheism. but it's really a misnomer. We all worship the same god. it's the perspective that makes the difference.

The reference to the bible, perhaps means physical gods; glory, fame, money, and such. those are the gods we should be fearful of. Everytime you watch E!

Myaloo, that is God instructing us not to put anything before Him. Such as money, possessions, job, career, like that. We interpret the bible by comparing scripture with scripture. And as the bible says in dozens of places that there is only one God, we know that all other "gods" are false.

There are, indeed, many gods that people believe in.
The one you believe in may not be the one someone else believes in.
This is how all the wars get started.

If you let go of RELIGION and embrace GOD then this stupidity might end...
