If not what is a healthy alternative for the morning start? I am trying to reduce my body fat 5% but not loose muscle.

Soy milk is a lot more healthier than regular cows milk. Cows milk has saturated fat and cholesterol in it. Plus cows milk has hormones in it too. Soy milk is healthier because it has fiber in it.

I'm using soymilk, but only because I seem to have developed a dairy allergy.

I like Grape Nuts, particularly the new organic one which has only whole wheat flour, barley flour, yeast and salt (the regular has regular flour also, second ingredient). I found a store brand version which has the same ingredients as the organic, but isn't strictly organic, costs less too.

You can train yourself to get used to it without sweetener, wheat has a sweetness all its own. And it's outstanding for regularity.
