How long did you take to gain 20 pounds? You need at least 6 months to lose 20 pounds because you gain back your weight easily even after you actually lose 20 pounds. Stop eating junk food first and get regular exercise each day.

First off, 14 pounds in three months is neither realistic or healthy. You're too young to "diet" but you're just the right age to make a serious lifestyle change. The first thing you need to do is seek some medical advice. Start a workout program (go to the library and use some of those research skills they're teaching you (I hope) at school). In the meantime, quit drinking soda pop...instead drink water. Follow the food pyramid to the letter. Count calories (don't eat more than 2,000 a day).
I hope you take your time and lose this weight in a safe manner. Also you should be careful not to lose too much...speaking as a guy I can say with all honesty that pencil thin models are NOT sexy. Don't aspire to that body type/image. It's not natural, healthy, or smart. Love yourself. Make long lasting, life changes because you want to be healthy...not because Madison Avenue tells you to be thin.

Strict diet at your age is dangerous. You might not grow as tall as you can.
So my suggestion is to cut all the junk foods.
I'm sure you are eating candies and chocolates and chips everyday. Just don't eat them and you will automatically lose weight. A lot of weight! because those junk food are high in fat and calory...so just by stop eating them, you cut a lot of calory intake in a day!
That is also my new year resolution! let's do it together! No Sweets this year!!!! and if you get used to not eating sweets for 3 months, your body will adjust to the new system and you won't crave sweets anymore! So you can keep your ideal weight! what a great plan!!!
research showed just by eating 2 cans of soda a day, you'll gain 12 pounds at the end of the year. So in other words, if you don't, you'll lose weight! How simple is that!
Good luck! we can do it!

If it's not convenient to check with your family doctor (which is the best place to go), ask to talk with your school nurse about this. She will either give you some tips or point you in the right direction.
Please don't take any drastic advice you get online. Weight loss is very personal. What's right for some (or even many) might hurt you. You didn't give enough information in your question, and you have no way of knowing if people who might advise you here are qualified. The cold water advice is particularly unhealthy. The calories you burn aren't a significant amount, and it's very jarring to your cells. Believe it or not, warm water is much healthier, and would contribute to healthy weight loss.
While you're waiting, cut out the junk food (soda too, even diet), replace them with water and fresh fruits and veggies for snacks. That should help. Eat breakfast. Exercise some. Be healthy!

Fortunately, being overweight is one of the FEW medical problems that we actually have a cure for - diet and exercise! It isn't always fun, but when done correctly, it does always work.
It's as simple as the fact that your body burns a certain number of calories per day - if you eat more, you'll gain weight, but if you eat less and/or burn calories off through exercise, you'll lose weight. I'd recommend you do three things:
- find out what your daily caloric intake should be
- start keeping track of how many calories you are eating and try to
eliminate high calorie foods
- begin exercising regularly and do some research to find out how
many calories you are likely burining while you are doing this
activity (most treadmills will estimate for you!)
If you keep track of and compare these three pieces of information, you'll be able to manage your caloric intake and gauge how effective your plan will be. Keep up with it, and you WILL lose the weight.

I'm not an expert and I've never had that problem, but I think I can help. I'm underweight, but I'm still a little flabby. It might take some time, but depending on where all your flab is try exercising. For example if you've got extra flab in the stomache area do sit ups everyday say in the morning or before you go to bed. Exercise not only helps with flab it keeps you healthy. Just don't over do it. In addition you should try to eat a little healthier. Don't 'diet', like he said you're too young for that. As a matter of fact, I'm too young for that. Just try drinking more water and less pop and have an apple after school instead of a bag of chips...little stuff like that. Again I'm saying the same thing he did,but trying to lose too much to fast isn't healthy.Everybody's body works differently so we all have to find a solution that works for us. Not only that, but everyone goes at there own pace. If I wanna drop weight its easy for me (though I'm trying to gain some ^_^;), but for some people I know its not as easy.
PS - Your percentage of body fat matters more than your weight. Muscle weighs more than fat. trust me on the fact that just because your flabby doesn't mean you have a lot of body fat. as flabby as I am...I have the bare minimum for my age group.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

First of all, you will lose weight from 14-15. I dropped a lot of "baby fat" as they called it then.If you want to lose weight, here is what I do. Do not eat any carbs past 6pm at night. No pasta, potatoes, bread etc...Eat breakfast. It jump starts your metabolism.Excercise 15 minutes 4 x a week at least. This is a good start.Dont freak out! (You might eat more!) Oh, do NOT fall for the "fat free, sugar free" bull.Calorie for calorie it is not much different than the regular stuff.Check it out for yourself! Good luck! And Easy does it! The weight will come off, I promise!

no junk food (fries, white breads, anything starchy, fried or sugary) or sodas. eat small portions, when you go out and eat ask for a to go box with your food and divide it in half to take half home for a meal for the next day, that way you'll only eat half. when you feel slightly full then put the napkin in your plate so you won't pick at your food. try and do something active every day for at least 1/2 hour. do this forever and you'll stay thin and the weight will fall off. after awhile it will be extremely easy and you'll never gain it back.

Run! when I was 14 I lost tons of weight running 4x a week. FAST!!. Every week have 1 treat or every other day if you eat bad daily. Slowly move away from that stuff and you will have the body you want. Picture the body you want when you are to lazy and are debating if you want to run. Run for 50-60 mins, walk for 2hrs if you would like to waste your time.
