A good way to naturally jump start your metabolism is a combination of eating a well balanced diet, eating in smaller portions (eat 6 smaller meals rather than 3 big ones...this keeps your metabolism working all day), and rest. Sounds cliche but it works.

eat small, healthy meals, 6 times a day. Your metabolism will skyrocket. I'm a fat guy with a wickedly slow metabolism. Everytime I try this process, I drop weight like crazy. Unfortunately, I can't get myself to continue.

Drink cold water. It causes the metabolism to boost because
of the change in the body temperature.

Make it work! Eat smaller meals more often - like 6 times a day. Your metabolism will have to speed up to burn food more often.

Drink a beer, eat a hard boiled egg, then get on a trampoline. That is a great way to detox, and help you digest a lot of food, and empty your bowels.
