I'm not a Christian, (once was), but had the opportunity to talk about this prayer. (Having studied it in a bit of detail, I can agree with it)
It recognizes deity as father.
It give honor to His name.
It gives assent to the will of God.
It offers petition for our needs (as opposed to wants).
It reminds us that when seeking forgiveness, it is necessary to forgive.
It asks to be led in righteousness.
this is a good form in any religion.
